The Michigan City Street Department will be out in full force for the Winter Storm this weekend. Please pay close attention to the attached memo from Mayor Angie Nelson-Deuitch. It is important to follow these rules so our plows can safely and effectively clear all roads. Please use caution and stay safe while out on the roads.

Michigan City Street Department office will be closed today for Thanksgiving 11/23, and tomorrow 11/24. We will return to the office on Monday, 11/27. Crews will be spending today with their families but will be back out working hard on leaf pick up tomorrow, 11/24 and Saturday, 11/25. Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃 🍽

Michigan City Street Department crews are out in full force working hard in Area 1 this week which is marked by Franklin St on the West, Michigan Blvd and Roeske Ave on the East and Kieffer Rd on the South.

As a gentle reminder, we will be in Area 2 the week of November 20th (with the exception of Thanksgiving Day) which is marked by Lake Shore Dr, US 12 and Shoreland Dr on the North , Michigan Blvd on the South and Meer rd on the East.

The week of November 27th we will be in Area 3 which is marked by County Line Rd on the West, Franklin St on the East , Kieffer Rd on the South and Lake Michigan on the North.
