Earlier this summer, 8th-grade students from Barker and Krueger traveled to Washington, D.C., and New York City for a once-in-a-lifetime historical and cultural tour!
In D.C., students saw history come alive as they went on a guided tour in the U.S. Capitol, visited Mount Vernon and other famous memorials and museums, observed the changing of the guards at Arlington Cemetery, experienced a ghost tour in historical Alexandria, VA, and more! Then we traveled to our next destination - NYC!
Here we went to the top of the Empire State Building, experienced a Broadway show, walked through Central Park and Times Square, visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, took a boat cruise to the Statue of Liberty, and much more!
