Please everyone go vote. Make it an event with your friends and family, go vote and then have breakfast, lunch or dinner together. If your still undecided I can make you two promises. When I start as Treasurer in January, I will own everything that that office does good or might need some improvement. I will not blame it on my predecessor or another office. I will work hard and train my staff so four years from now no one is sorry they voted for me. I believe government is their to serve the people with courtesy, respect, honesty and transparency. I want to bring common sense business practices back to government. I am Dan Barenie asking for your vote for LaPorte County Treasurer on or before November 5th.

I want to thank everyone that is helping on this campaign. It is really appreciated. The goal is to make LaPorte County better for our children and grandchildren. I believe we can do that by bringing basic commonsense principles back to government. It's simple the people come first and should be treated with courtesy, honesty and transparency. I just want everyone to know what I stand for, Government is there to serve the citizens and when I am elected Treasurer we will serve with courtesy, respect, honesty and transparency. The monthly and yearly audit report will be done on time and accurate according to state code. I will safely invest the county funds with maximum return to the citizens. Better investment could return millions of dollars to LaPorte County. I will work with all elected officials, so they know where LaPorte stands financially.

I believe LaPorte County is a great place to live. I worked and owned a family business in LaPorte County for over twenty years and LaPorte needs some commonsense business practices back in government. I have been married thirty-eight years and we have two sons and three granddaughters. LaPorte County should offer our children the ability to stay in the area if they choose with good jobs. It’s time all elected officials worked together for the betterment of the citizens. It’s time we, as citizens, expect more from our leaders and get involved. It’s time to move LaPorte forward, I am Dan Barenie and I am asking for your vote on or before November 5th for LaPorte County Treasurer.

Hi All, we've been busy this summer getting around the County and meeting a lot of people. It's been great and we had a lot of fun at all the awesome activities that were available. Our granddaughter's joined us on many occasions and handed out candy along the parade routes. Fun time celebrating the great freedoms we enjoy here in America!

Hi, I was at the La Porte Fire Department breakfast yesterday morning and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, thank you to all firefighters for the dedication you have to our community. The food and the company was great! I had the chance to talk with some residents and let them know why I am running for office and give them some background on my business experience. I am running for office to improve the government in La Porte County as a place I live and love. I've raised my family here and care about community and think it takes great people to give time and energy to make our community better everyday. I am not a politician, but I have been a businessman for almost 40 years. There is much responsibility in the Treasurer's office and I have experience in all areas of running an office. I will be in the office actively working with staff to make sure that State requirements are met and working with other elected officials to make communication a priority, I have worked with budgets and investing both in former employment and in a Statewide fraternal organization I have been involved in. I have overseen both. I have experience managing multiple budgets and many employees. I show up to get the job done and will continue to do just that in the Treasurer's office. Experience in all these areas makes me a strong candidate. The Treasurers office conducts business daily with the taxpayers and fellow elected officials. I am capable of both. Although this is an elected position experience must be part of the choice Republicans make at the primary on May 7th. The office is a business, and we need a businessman who will be ready to conduct the business of the office on day one. Vote Dan Barenie in the Republican Primary on May 7th and help make LaPorte County Government better and stronger!

Good morning all, I want to introduce the puppy in the picture with me and share a couple more photos of her sweetness. This is Ruby Rose and she is our new puppy. We got her in November and she is 7 months old and ALL puppy. She has A LOT of energy but we're keeping up with her. We've been taking her to one of our beautiful county parks to use the trails and the dog park and she is loving it! The grand girls love it too! Get out to some of our parks and see how great they are if you have the chance and a shout out to Jeremy and his team for the great work they do! You will see in the picture from the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Michigan City some of our family who came out and marched the parade route with us. Wishing you all a fun day!
