Head to the Michigan City Farmed & Forged Market this Saturday! Shoppers are invited to dress up and enjoy the market, and Dunebrook will be there with a pumpkin decorating booth. Stop by and create something festive with us!

SNAP shoppers can also stretch their grocery dollars even further this Saturday. Spend $20 in SNAP benefits and receive $80 to use at the market, up from the usual $60!

Through outreach events, we've connected with more than 5,000 individuals, sharing valuable information, connecting families with resources, and helping our neighbors learn more about the programs and support available through Dunebrook.

Every event is an opportunity to build relationships, answer questions, and strengthen our community.

Dunebrook will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2026, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Today, we recognize and honor the history, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities.

🎃 SAVE THE DATE! We're heading to Farmed & Forged Fall Fest!

Join Dunebrook on Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Farmed & Forged Michigan City Market for a fun-filled day celebrating families and community!

Stop by the Dunebrook booth, where children can decorate their very own mini pumpkins to take home!

The day will also feature trick-or-treating with vendors, costumes, live music, a Boo Box giveaway, and plenty of fall fun for the whole family!

Sometimes the best conversations start with one more question.

“How was your day?” often gets a quick “good” or “fine.” Try asking something a little more specific instead.

- What made you smile today?
- What was hard today?
- What are you excited about tomorrow?

There doesn't have to be a perfect answer. The important part is creating opportunities for children to talk and knowing someone is there to listen.

Small conversations can help build strong connections.

Important information for Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) members and the professionals who serve them.

Changes to HIP work requirements are coming in January 2027. Because eligibility will include a 90-day lookback period, HIP members may need to begin tracking qualifying activities starting in October 2026.

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), in partnership with Covering Kids & Families of Indiana, is hosting town halls across the state to help HIP members, providers, and community partners understand what is changing and what steps may be needed to maintain coverage.

Celebrating 50 Years of Dedication to Dunebrook!

Today, we’re celebrating three incredible members of the Dunebrook team and some very special milestones!

Ebony, Healthy Families FRS/Breastfeeding Coordinator, is celebrating 10 years with Dunebrook!

Angie, Director of our Child Advocacy Center, is celebrating 20 years with Dunebrook!

Pam, our Grant Manager, is also celebrating 20 years with Dunebrook!

Together, that’s an incredible 50 years of experience, commitment, and service to Dunebrook and the children and families in our community.

We are so grateful for the knowledge, compassion, and dedication Ebony, Angie, and Pam bring to their work every day.
