If you’ve been looking for a low-commitment way to make a real difference, this is it. Advocates just visit one adult under guardianship for one hour per month on your own schedule. That’s all it takes.

No RSVP needed, just click the link above to show “Going!” And don’t worry about bringing anything; everything you need for training will be provided.

Hope to see you there! 🌿

Sharing this QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeeper Training from Swanson Center. A great resource for anyone who works with or cares about vulnerable individuals in our community!

It’s not always easy to know how to respond when someone is having a difficult time. With a little guidance, though, reaching out can feel more natural and supportive.

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide-prevention training helps everyday community members recognize signs that someone may be struggling, respond in a caring way, and connect them with appropriate support. The goal is simple: help people feel more confident offering compassion and help when it matters most.

February 26, 2026
5:00–7:00 PM CST
La Porte County Public Library – Main Branch
904 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, IN

This training is open to anyone who wants to better understand how to support others and create safer, more connected communities.
