Big Announcement:
The library will have a large bake sale during Ribfest. The library board and some of our patrons will do the baking. We will be set up in the mall lobby! We will open at 9am-until gone. All proceeds will go to the “Empire Builder” movie project! Don’t miss this!

Summer Story Time continues….
The Bernice Ferguson Community Library sponsors story time. This summer, Lexi Hanson, stepped up and continued story time at the daycare. This has worked out really well. We so appreciate Lexi’s help!!!!

“Michigan Book Club” book for August: “Theo of Golden” by Allen Levi. It’s a 10/10!! We will have extra copies of this book at the end of this month when club members turn in their books. “Theo” is an excellent audio book as you can enjoy his Portuguese accent as well as the southern accents from Georgia characters.

We are looking for Allen Levi’s other book “The Last Sweet Mile” pictured below. It’s hard to find. Does anyone have a copy?

“Book Club Tonight at 5pm @ the library”

Tonight we will discuss this months book, “Now Departing”. If you ever were curious about the daily life of an undertaker, read this. It was very interesting and to think Victor Sweeney, author, is from Warren, MN. That in itself made this book special. Side note: Victor’s in laws live in Petersburg and come to community coffee!!

Our librarian, Jan, went to Medora over the weekend with husband Gary to attend the grand opening of the Teddy Roosevelt Presidential Library. She said it was a lot of fun! Read captions below pictures.

Did you know that you can walk across the roof of the Roosevelt library as it is covered in grass. There are two paths, one is shorter and one is longer.
