On September 20, our members will take on the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Albany to honor the firefighters who climbed the World Trade Center stairs on 9/11.

Last night our crew partnered with Fort Ann Volunteer Fire Company at the Washington County Fair, providing standby coverage for the Out of Field Tractor Pulls. Always proud to work alongside our neighboring departments and keep the community safe.

Thank you to Hartford Volunteer Fire Co for hosting us last night. Our members spent the evening learning their pumping station setup and fill‑site operations, making sure we’re familiar with their water‑supply system during mutual aid calls. Strong collaboration and a productive night of training.

Yesterday our members trained with Fair Haven, Granville, Poultney, and Whitehall. Crews worked through search and rescue, interior and exterior hose line advancements, and pump operations, strengthening coordination across all departments. Solid work from everyone who attended.

Last night’s training focused on safely securing electric vehicles during emergency operations.

Our crew practiced using a tool that connects to an EV’s charge port to keep the vehicle from driving, giving crews the ability to work around the vehicle without unexpected movement. It’s a simple step that makes a big difference on scene and helps us stay ready as vehicle technology continues to evolve.

Our department is proud to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, honoring the courage and sacrifice of Stephen Siller, FDNY, and all those who gave their lives on September 11, 2001.

Tunnel to Towers continues to support fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes, and their families.
