The Longwood Junior High School PTSA is now accepting nominations for all Executive Board positions for the 2025-2026 school year.

With approximately 1,300 students and 200 faculty members, serving on the board is a busy yet rewarding opportunity to help plan and execute meaningful experiences for our school community.

Remember, support is always available from the New York State PTA, Suffolk Region PTA, and the Longwood Council of PTAs. If you want to make a difference, we encourage you to step forward—you CAN do this!

How to Submit a Nomination:

If you wish to apply for a position, please submit your Letter of Intent via email by Friday, April 25, 2024.

Your letter should include:
✅ Your full name
✅ Phone number and email address
✅ The position(s) you are interested in
✅ A brief statement outlining your qualifications and reasons for seeking the position
✅ Submission Guidelines
✅ Email your Letter of Intent to [email protected]
✅ Email subject line: “LJHSPTSA Nomination Letter.” (Please do not include any names in the subject line.)
✅ Confidentiality Notice: Letters will not be opened until the nominating committee convenes to review submissions after April 25.

🏀🏀March Madness Attendance Challenge Alert🏀🏀

Starting Monday, March 24th, the entire building will be competing in a March Madness-style attendance challenge, by academic team! 12 teams will enter, and each day, the teams with the best attendance will advance to the next round to face off against a new opponent.

By Friday, March 28th, only one winning team will remain standing!

Throughout the week, there will be prizes for students, and the ultimate winning team will earn a celebration party in the courtyard! 🎉

Here’s how you win: it’s all about showing up. The team with the highest overall attendance percentage each day will move on in the bracket. That means every student counts! The more teammates who come to school, the better your chances of winning.

So we ask students to rally their friends, bring their best energy, and show up every day! Let’s see which team will take the title of March Madness Attendance Champions.
