I hope everyone had a restful break!
Please join us on Tuesday April 14th, 7pm, HS auditorium for our April HS PTSA meeting! Our Music & art department will present some talented students with their STUDENT OF THE MONTH recognition. We will also be setting our 2026-2027 PTSA board. Thanks to so many wonderful people willing to step up and continue the great work the HS PTSA has done, we will be able to have a full, and active board for the following school year. There will be a ballot vote for one position so all current PTSA members are encouraged to attend.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our PTSA this school year, we can't do it without you!

The nominating committee met on March 17, 2026, and is presenting the slate for the 2026-2027 school year for the Longwood Senior High School PTSA Executive Board as follows:
President - Asha Pierre
1st VP - Chivaun Carter
2nd VP - vacant
Treasurer - Krystin DiBenedetto
Secretary - Claudia Landgrover
Council Delegate 1 - Amanda McCann
Council Delegate 2 - Brittany Lienau

Elections will be held at the next PTSA meeting on April 14, 2026 @ 7pm in the Longwood High School Auditorium. If anyone would like to run for a position "from the floor", a letter of interest with the position you are seeking must be received no later than April 9, 2026, by 5pm. You can either send a letter to the PTSA mailbox, in the main office with your child labeled "LHS Nominating Committee" or send an email to: [email protected]

The Longwood High School PTSA is now accepting nomination letters for all PTSA board positions for the 2026–2027 school year. The open positions include President and/or Co-Presidents, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 2 Council Delegates. If you would like more information about any of the above positions, please feel free to reach out.
Please send your letter of intent explaining which position(s) you are interested in and why you would make a good asset to next year’s board. You may send your letter in with your child to drop off in the Main Office in a sealed envelope labeled “PTSA nominations” or send an email to the following address: [email protected]

All letters are due by Monday, March 16, 2026. Letters received after this deadline cannot be considered.

To all of our valued PTSA members,

Our PTSA needs to add 2 more general members to our nomination committee, which will be tasked to set forth the upcoming 2026-2027 PTSA Board. It is not a huge commitment, one meeting, but absolutely vital to ensuring the continuation of our PTSA. The Board is comprised of 5 members, 2 from our current board and 3 from our general members, and once formed the committee will decide on a date to meet and to go over any and all letters of intent from prospective board members. If you would be interested in taking part in this process and helping support the continuing efforts of our HS PTSA please email me by March 2nd, 2026.

Our current board will all be stepping down at the the end of this school year and it in order to continue our PTSA unit we need all hands on deck, and this committee is the first step.

Hello,

Thank you so much for supporting the LHS PTSA with your Senior and/or Graduation Lawn Sign order. The signs have arrived & pick-up is scheduled for Sunday, December 14th from 10am-12pm and Monday, December 15th from 4pm-6pm in the Longwood High School parking lot located to the left of the entrance near the tennis courts. Please look for the Grey Dodge Durango.

If you are not able to make it to either of the scheduled pick-ups kindly contact me after Monday's pick-up so we can arrange for pick-up @ my home (45 Newcomb Trail, Ridge - 2 story green house w/ front porch) when it's convenient for you.

Just a reminder that our next PTSA meeting will take place on Wednesday November 5th at 7pm in the HS Library.
Ms. Barbara Merkle will be making our administrators presentation, along with Mr. Tapia, head of our Social Studies department who will also be making a presentation on all the wonderful things going on in our Social studies classes. We also will celebrate our Student of the Month recipients!
Teamwork makes the dream work and this is the best place to get any questions answered, make suggestions on how to make our HS bigger and better for everyone, everyday. We can't do it without you!!

Such a great day kicking off this new school year for our SENIORS!! Thank you to the administration for hosting this event, along with the PBIS team, and allowing the PTSA to be a part of it. Special shout out to our custodial staff for generously providing heroes for everyone. Seeing the creativity and collaboration with friends and families was the best part. 💚💛💚💛💚💛
