🚒🍔🌮 Ladies and Gentlemen... It's Time for the GRAND FINALE! 🍕🍋🍺
Join us TONIGHT Thursday, June 18th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM for the LAST Food Truck Night of our Spring Season at Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Rescue & Marine!
Let's send this season off with a bang and support some amazing local vendors:

🥐 Kelly's Kitchen and Bakery– a local favorite!
🍋 Signature Sips – serving up her famous fresh-squeezed lemonade!
🍺 Independent Brewing Company – slinging ice-cold beers all evening!
🍩 Stefano D'Alessio – serving his delicious homemade fry dough!
These Food Truck Nights would not be possible without the incredible partnership and support of Bethlehem Church. Week after week, they have organized these events, brought together amazing vendors, and generously donated their proceeds to support Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Rescue & Marine. Their commitment to our community and our volunteers has made a tremendous impact, and we are truly grateful for everything they have done this season.
Bring your family, friends, neighbors, and your appetite for one last evening of great food, cold drinks, and community fun!

🔥 MEMBER MONDAY: FIREFIGHTER LOGAN HARDY 🔥
This week we're excited to introduce one of our dedicated young volunteers, Firefighter Logan Hardy!
For the past year, Logan has been serving the Bowleys Quarters community as a volunteer firefighter while balancing life as a junior at Chesapeake High School. His commitment to giving back is a great example of how young people can make a real difference in their community.
🚒 When asked why he started volunteering, Logan shared:
"I wanted to serve and give back to my community. I also started volunteering at BQVFD because it is something I can do in my off time out of school and offers lifelong skills that I will use for the rest of my life."
One of Logan's favorite things about volunteering has been the friendships he's built and the opportunities he's had to learn and grow.
🔥 "I love the friends that I have met through volunteering and the experiences that I have been allowed to experience at the fire station while I'm still in high school!"
Outside of the firehouse, Logan stays busy with a variety of hobbies. He enjoys fishing, working out, running track, and spending time with friends. He's also a big truck enthusiast and loves anything automotive.
As a high school student, Logan is proof that volunteering can be a rewarding way to spend your free time while developing lifelong skills, building friendships, and making a positive impact in your community. Whether you're interested in firefighting, EMS, or simply giving back, there is a place for you at BQVFD.
We're proud to have Logan as part of the BQVFD family and look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes in the years ahead.

🎓 Congratulations to BQVFD member Sophia Smith on her graduation from CCBC with a degree in General Studies!
Sophia has been a dedicated volunteer with the Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Department for the past two years, and we're incredibly proud of this accomplishment. As a first-generation college graduate, her hard work, determination, and commitment to her goals have paid off in a big way.
Before transferring to CCBC, Sophia attended Mennonite University where she played field hockey, demonstrating the same teamwork and dedication that she brings to our department. When she's not volunteering or studying, you'll likely find her spending time with her beloved dog Murphy.
Sophia isn't slowing down anytime soon! Her next goal is to become an EMT and continue serving our community in an even greater capacity.
Please join us in congratulating Sophia on this incredible milestone. We can't wait to see all that she accomplishes next!

🚒 Member Monday Spotlight: Assistant Safety Officer Christopher Morawski 🚒
This week, we're proud to shine the spotlight on Christopher Morawski, who has been serving with Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Department for the past 2 years as our Assistant Safety Officer.
Christopher joined BQVFD to give back to the Bowleys Quarters community while learning more about the important role the department plays—especially through our unique marine services. Since joining, he has embraced every opportunity to serve and grow.
When asked what he enjoys most about volunteering, Christopher shared that he loves the variety of calls he responds to, from fire and EMS incidents to open-water emergencies. Most importantly, he values being able to help people in their time of need and appreciates the strong sense of brotherhood that comes with being part of the fire service.
Outside of the department, Christopher enjoys learning something new every day and spending quality time with his family, making memories and appreciating every moment. His passion for the fire service has inspired those closest to him as well. His 13-year-old son hopes to follow in his footsteps one day and become a professional firefighter, while his 8-year-old stepdaughter enjoys visiting the station and baking treats for the crew. Christopher's fiancée has also become involved, helping support the department on the administrative side after seeing firsthand the positive impact the fire service has had on their family.
Thank you, Christopher, for your dedication, service, and commitment to both our department and community. We are grateful to have you as part of the BQVFD family!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported BQVFD at Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard yesterday! 🍦🚒

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community. Every visit, every purchase, and every conversation helps strengthen the connection between our volunteers and the neighbors we proudly serve.

A special shout-out goes to Captain Linkowich, who traded his fire helmet for an ice cream scoop and spent some of the evening serving up treats to our supporters! 🍨👏

Thank you to Rita’s for hosting us and to everyone who stopped by to show their support. We couldn’t do what we do without this amazing community behind us. ❤️

After rescuing ducklings from a storm drain earlier today, some of our team stopped by Rita’s for a well deserved sweet treat! 🦆🚒🍦

A happy ending for this little crew! 🦆💛
Today, our volunteers responded after several baby ducks became trapped in a storm drain. Thanks to quick action from community members and our dedicated responders, the ducklings were safely rescued and reunited with their mama.
A special thank you to Baltimore County Councilman David Marks for reaching out immediately and letting us know help was needed. This is a perfect example of our community looking out for one another even the smallest members of it.
Great teamwork by everyone involved, and we’re grateful for the support and care our community continues to show every day. 🚒

School’s closed on May 28th, so make Rita’s part of your family plans! Swing by for a sweet treat, support BQVFD, and enjoy a fun outing with the kids during the day or evening. Make sure to tell the staff you are coming by to show your support!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten. As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the day and remember those who gave everything for our freedom.

From all of us at BQVFD, thank you to our fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward. 🇺🇸
