On Tuesday night, I stood with hundreds of my neighbors in Middle Village to oppose the proposed lithium-ion battery storage facility on 69th Place.

Thank you to Phil Wong for organizing the rally and to all the residents, parents, and community leaders who came out to make their voices heard.

The community has been clear from day one: this facility does not belong in a residential neighborhood, across from a school and near homes.

Lithium-ion battery facilities should be located in industrial areas, not next to where families live, children go to school, and people expect to feel safe.

We will continue fighting this proposal every step of the way.

I’m confused. Did the thought police led by Comrade Tiffany Caban repeal the rule against saying “pregnant woman”? I was told the correct term was “birthing person.”

And last time I checked, most women who are nine months pregnant are getting ready to welcome a child, not getting arrested. Yet Caban somehow manages to blame everyone except the person whose actions led to the arrest.

Accountability remains the one thing her ideology refuses to recognize.

Tomorrow night, Tuesday, June 2nd, is our chance to make our voices heard.

At 7 PM, join us in front of 64-30 69th Place in Middle Village for a community rally regarding the proposed lithium-ion facility planned directly across from PS/IS 128 and next to homes, a daycare, an animal hospital, and a children's funhouse.

Now is not the time to sit back and assume someone else will speak up. If you have concerns about this proposal, come out and stand with your neighbors. The more people who show up, the stronger our message will be.

I hope to see you there.

NYPD loves putting out videos of illegal dirt bike crackdowns and dramatic crush operations to show how seriously they take quality of life enforcement.

But as detailed in my op-ed in the Juniper Berry, when residents actually called 911 about illegal dirt bikes being ridden recklessly through neighborhood streets, the response they received was unbelievable.

Officers allegedly responded and, in a dismissive and minimizing fashion, essentially told the individuals involved that “the neighborhood is complaining” while making clear they were not interested in meaningful enforcement and that the illegal riding could continue without consequence.

And now, instead of reprimanding that kind of behavior, a supervisor apparently wants to reward it.

This is exactly why New Yorkers are losing faith in the system.

The NYPD can keep telling us crime is down, but residents see with their own eyes what happens on the street when enforcement is replaced with excuses and surrender.

A resident in our community recently watched two minors riding illegal dirt bikes on a public street. He did the right thing. He called 911 and waited for

Come on out!

Join us on Tuesday, June 2nd at 7 PM in front of 64-30 69th Place in Middle Village for a community rally regarding the proposed lithium-ion facility planned directly across from PS/IS 128 and next to homes, a daycare, an animal hospital, and a children’s funhouse.

This is an important issue for our neighborhood, and I encourage residents to come out and make their voices heard. Don’t sit this one out. Let’s get out there and show that our community is paying attention.

Jeff Bezos is right. Why are we paying so much in taxes? We should be paying less, not getting squeezed harder every year while government grows into a runaway train nobody can control. We’re a city with a population far smaller than the entire State of Florida, yet somehow our budget is even bigger. That’s insanity.

Government should live within its means like every family and small business has to. Instead, we get endless grift, graft, no-show programs, and boondoggles like ThriveNYC, which is just one example out of thousands. The answer to a runaway train of government isn’t taxing people more to build more tracks before it eventually derails.

The answer is simple: tax less, spend less, and cut the nonsense.

Wake up, New York.

Good. The whole thing was political BS from the start.

We already saw two previous commissions where the overwhelming public testimony focused on opposition to the City of Yes and sanctuary city laws, yet both were ignored when it came time for the ballot.

This was another commission stacked with political insiders wasting taxpayer money pretending to “hear” the public put together while they were walking out the door.

Blaming the President for a strike carried out by state workers? That’s the epitome of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

You’re the Governor Kathy, this is on you.

Maybe you should have sent the worst Speaker in the history of the City Council, Adrienne Adams, to figure this out.

Absolute clown show.
