A prayer request for a fire chief... Greg Comer has battled cancer for almost 7 yrs. The doctors are giving him only days to live. Greg is 41, married & has 2 children, Jacob 11 & Alyssa 7. Jacob has asked his Mom for a special request, for everyone to pray for a special miracle for his daddy. He wants a prayer chain across the world. Please pray for Greg and help start this prayer chain across the world for Jacob.

I am proud and thankful of where I came from! I grew up in a neighborhood, on the south side of Brockton, Massachusetts during a time when everyone treated each other like Family. We went outside to play, we got dirty....We played "Red Light, Green Light", "Hide and Seek", Dodge Ball, Kick the Can, Marbles, Stick Ball, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Army and Tag. We would sneak into the Skyview Drive-in, sit in the back fields or hide in the car trunk to go get in for $5 a car load just to watch the movies for free. We ate American chop suey, beans & hot dogs with rolls, mac and cheese, pizza or peanut butter sandwiches at the school cafeteria. We weren't AFRAID OF ANYTHING. If you fell down you got back up. If someone had a fight, that's what it was...a fight. We left our houses as soon as we could in the morning and right after school. If you wanted to know where everyone was you looked for the stack of bikes. My father would whistle for me to come in the house for supper and the other kids went home for supper too. When the street lights came on we best be home. We watched our mouths around our elders because we knew If we DISRESPECTED any adult there would be hell to pay and we had manners and respect otherwise someone else's parents put you in your place.

MAY 18th OPENING/START FOR MASSACHUSETTS FOLLOWING BELOW GUIDELINES:

1. Start - "We're looking at industries that are more naturally set up to have little face-to-face interactions and workplaces that are better able to manage face-to-face customer interactions with certain conditions."
2. Cautious - "We plan to have more industries with more face-to-face interactions resume operations, again with conditions."
3. Vigilant - "Where we can allow for loosening of some of the restrictions from the earlier phases if, in fact, the public health data continues to conform to the terms we're all pursuing."
4. New Normal - "We all know life will be different but as the medical and life sciences communities make progress in developing treatments or vaccines, we can really begin to put this virus into the rear-view mirror."
