The Tyler County Assessor's Office would like to notify the residents of Tyler County that our Data Collectors, Johnathan Lancaster and Ryley Warner, will be out in the field visiting properties in Friendly, Sistersville, Paden City & Middlebourne starting today, Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. They will be visiting all properties in the county as mandated by WV Legislature and is done in accordance with the Three Year Cycle of the Valuation Plan as set by WV Code. Johnathon and Ryley will be knocking on doors and when permitted will be asking questions about any changes made to properties. Our Data Collectors will NOT enter into any home/residence. If a property owner is not at home and there are questions that Johnathan and Ryley have about the property, they will leave an informational sheet requesting the property owner/resident call our office and give our office the information needed so we will have the correct and most up to date information on the property as possible. As the weather permits, they will be starting out in the field in Friendly Corp.
FYI: The Assessor's Office vehicle is a White Jeep Grand Cherokee and is clearly labled on the sides as well as the back window as a Tyler County Assessor's Office vehicle.
We appreciate your cooperation when Johnathan and Ryley are in your neighborhood asking for updated information on your properties or with the returning of any needed information in theh event of noone being at home during the time of their visit. At this time, our office is temporarily located in front of the Tyler County Senior Center in the Courthouse Compound. We are in Trailer 2, along with the County Clerk's Office which is in Trailer 1 and the Sheriff's Tax Office is in Trailer 3.
