Saturday, March 25,

A few of our cadets participated in a Vietnam memorial community service event at Green Cove Springs.

While our instructors are up in Georgia for our academics state competition. XO Avecillas ran the event and did a great job keeping our cadets safe and productive.

Our very strong and helpful cadets assisted with setting up chairs and tables as well as tents and more.

Adding on, some of our Color guard participated and presented colors at the national anthem with West Nassau county honor guard and Clay NJROTC color guard as well!

We had so much fun helping out and showing respect to our veterans. As well as learning new things and listening to the beautiful speech "old Glory" presented by HMack Ellis HMack Ellis

The day ended with beautiful weather and lots of productivity from our Njrotc cadets.

Friday, February 24, Our cadets had a chance to attend and get a little tour of Cecil fields air station.

With this we had a nice visual representation of military border protection, and how they keep our country safe by Sir William FreeHafter, an air interdiction agent.

This was an experience like no other, as cadets had one on one with the mechanics of plane and learned how much academic knowledge it takes.

They were definitely impressed with the history and precision these pilots put forth.

After touring the plane and saying our Thankyou’s and Goodbyes to the amazing agents that guided us through this tour.

We got on the bus and enjoyed a nice picnic at the park. We ate food and had lots of fun. Even a little push-ups session.

The Cadets had a great time, and we are looking forward to our next trip.

Thursday, February 23,
Middleburg NJROTC officially joined in on ‘Adopt a highway’ with this we adopted 1 mile in-front of our very own school.

We had several cadets sign up to participate. The cadets are tasked with providing services to the community throughout the year, but this event is considered its biggest effort.

We collected around 9+ bags full of trash. Middleburg NJROTC plans to keep this on going tradition and serve our community.

While keeping the roads litter-free we helped keep the environment clean, it is also a great opportunity for cadets to connect seeing that the freshman cadets meet more of the upperclassmen and leadership . Overall this Sunny day has made a huge impact on our unit.

On February 4th our academic team competed in a Brain Brawl at Terry Parker High School in which A team got 1st and B team received 2nd.

Saturday February 4th,

Middleburg NJROTC had a cool experience tonight as for the second time our Color Guard was invited to present colors for the national anthem of a Iceman hockey game at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. With the Honor our SNSI ‘Commader Clark’ daughter performing “god bless America”.

Commanding CG was Cadet chief Bonser, organizational was Cadet CO lee, left rifle men Cadet Senior chief Luedtke, right rifle man Cadet Ensign Baker.

The other cadets present had a much fun experience, bonding with other cadets and being able to support an honorary part of their unit. The day overall was a good morale boost.

Saturday, January 28, Middleburg NJROTC competed in a sanctioned drill meet at Terry Parker High School. Placing 2nd overall.

🚨September 13th🚨 will be the first official PI for our NS1’s.

Ensure uniforms are worn and hair for both males and females are in grooming standards and done nicely and neatly.

If you have any questions, make sure to look in the cadet field manual for excess information.

Our CO (Avecillas) and XO (Lee) went to represent our unit along with our main staff that consists of cadet Leudtke, Buterbaugh, Baker, Haynes, and Crews at the CO/XO conference last night.

All of the CO’s and XO’s in unit 12 were present during this time and many ideas were shared between different units leaving nothing but growth between all for this upcoming year.

Commander Shaw, the area 12 manager, was also present and our unit got the amazing chance to be able to formally introduce themselves. Overall this was an amazing night for our Middleburg NJROTC unit!

Middleburg High School’s NJROTC unit offers many teams such as DRILL, ACADEMICS AND CYBER PATRIOT, ORIENTEERING AND MARKSMENSHIP. BE INVOLVED!

DRILL TEAM, This team teaches cadets discipline like all of the other teams and how to pay attention to the small details because without them you cannot accomplish big things. If you are unsure about this team and what it entails, it is most commonly known as marching. If you are interested at all about this team, come to the first practice. ZERO experience !? No problem come on out and we can teach you because if you don't try you will never know how many opportunities drill can give you. Starts August 22nd, 1350-1600.

The unit has a very smart and comprehensive Academic team that is made up of very smart cadets who have no problem reading our cadet textbooks in depth. come on down to practice August 23rd 1350-1530 and then every Tuesday and Thursday.

Middleburg High School’s NJROTC has a brand-new team. The new is the Cyber Patriot program. This is a computer-based, newt-working, cyber safety program. In this program you will be pushing cyber safety to the max, in competitions you will be safe checking a given program through multiple challenging rounds. first meeting August 26th 1400-1430.

Orienteering team is composed of cadets who are great with maps and ready for a challenge with precision and speed . August 24th 1400-1500 and then every Wednesday after.

MINI BOOTCAMP DAY 3 👨‍✈️
Today, August 4th, was the day Bronco Round Up was held, the new cadets attended the event and then continued their training. The cadets furthered their drill knowledge as they learned and practiced new drill movements. They sharpened their knowledge about the uniform they will wear such as the measurements of where the name tag, ribbons, J bar, and etc. go. They also safely fired air rifles with Petty Officer First Class Lee to experience marksmanship. They studied very hard today to prepare for the advancement test tomorrow. Tomorrow is PT remember to hydrate and study for the big test tomorrow.

MINI BOOTCAMP DAY 2- 🏃
Today is August 3rd, it was also the first full day of Mini Bootcamp. The cadets were introduced to orienteering, PT, and the Chain of Command. During their PT session they learned the PT formation and the daily 5 stretches. After a break they jumped right into a lesson reviewing their Orders to the Sentry and then introduced Chain of Command. Later they went over terminology and safety routines for orienteering; then they walked a small marked out course to show what they had learned. Overall today was a fun and interactive day, we do however want to remind everyone to stay hydrated and that it is okay to use a training time out if you or a fellow cadet needs to.

MINI BOOTCAMP DAY ONE⚔️Today August 2nd was the first day of Mini Bootcamp. We were so glad to see the future of our program learn and be active today. Over all today we introduced our staff and our chain of command. We also presented all of the teams associated with our program. The new cadets learned Left, Right, and About face. They also learned Attention, Parade Rest, and how to salute. The new cadets were given PT gear that they will wear when they participate in their first PT session tomorrow. Remember to hydrate so we can all safely participate in PT.
