*Traffic Advisory*

Dexter Avenue will be closed from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM today for the Dexter Avenue Block Party being put on by Yellow Dog Tavern and Hubies Restaurant this evening.

There will be co****le, polish horseshoes and music by DJ MTech.

Please utilize Baker Avenue to access Upper Dexter Avenue.

*Village Hall Closed*

Village Hall will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

Regular hours of operation will return on Tuesday, September 8th at 9:00 AM for all departments. In addition, the Village Department of Public Works (DPW) will pick up bagged leaves & bundled sticks on Tuesday morning.

We hope everyone has a restful Labor Day Weekend.

*Back to School*

With school returning Tuesday morning, we would like to remind folks to please drive slowly approaching the Elementary and High School Crossing Walks, and show patience and respect for our schoolchildren and crossing guards.

Additionally, the Village would like to wish our MCS Students a wonderful 2026-27 school year.

A Skechers bag with personal belongings was found in the Fourth Friday food court between the High School and the Village Pool this evening.

Fifteen years ago Tropical Storm Irene devasted our community in a path of destruction that cut through the Schoharie Valley.

It was also a day of extraordinary heroism by the Middleburgh Fire Department, MEVAC, and first responders to safely evacuate Village and Town residents.

In the wake of destruction, countless volunteers came together to clean up our community and support each other through recovery. Businesses reopened, homes were rebuilt, and Middleburgh came out stronger and more resilient.

We are blessed to call this place home and every individual who played a role - small or large - in our recovery is forever owed a debt of our gratitude.

*Fourth Friday & Heritage Day Concert*

With the Village of Middleburgh's final Fourth Friday of the season happening tomorrow, we wanted to share the following reminders:
🎉🍔 Food vendors and merchants will be set up on Main Street from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
🎸 Music will be performed by The Hollering Geezers on the Library steps and The Red Wagon at the Red Roost Apartments.
🏎️🛻 The Dr. Best House & Medical Museum will be hosting a car cruise-in on Clauverwie.
🎷 The Village's annual Heritage Day Concert featuring the Catskill Gamblers will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the M&S Depot on Wells Avenue.
The forecast looks beautiful, and we owe our friends at MABA, NY- Middleburgh Area Business Association special thanks for pulling this wonderful event together and we appreciate all our businesses, vendors, and residents for participating in these special evenings in Middleburgh.

We would also like to remind residents to not blow any clippings out into the road per New York State Law. Additionally, we would like to request that sidewalks remain clear of clippings as well. Thanks.
