🎉 Region 15 Comes Together to Kick Off the 2026–27 School Year!

Region 15 staff gathered for our annual Opening Day Convocation on Thursday, August 27, to reconnect, celebrate one another, and prepare to welcome students back on September 1!

The morning included student performances, an inspiring message from Teacher of the Year Susan Sundholm, recognition of our Paraeducator of the Year Lisa Roshkind, a welcome to our newest certified and non-certified staff members, and recognition of colleagues celebrating 20 years of service to Region 15.

And what better way to kick off a new year than with a little school spirit? All seven school mascots joined Superintendent Joshua Smith on stage, bringing each of our schools together in one celebration of the Region 15 community.

🎒 Welcome, Future Kindergarteners! ✏️

This week we welcomed our incoming kindergarten students and their families to Region 15 for Kindergarten Orientation!

Our newest learners had the chance to visit their schools, meet some of the friendly faces they’ll see this year, ride a school bus (!) and get a first look at what it means to be a Region 15 student.

We can’t wait to see you back on September 1 for your first official day of kindergarten! 🍎📚

We were excited to welcome our newest educators today as they kicked off New Teacher Orientation!

This group brings a wealth of experience to Region 15, bringing a combined 137 years of service in education! New Teacher Orientation is a chance to get to know Region 15, meet new colleagues, learn about our schools and community, and get ready for the year ahead.

We’re so happy to have them joining our schools and look forward to a great year together.

Region 15 Schools is proud to host STEM-A-Palooza 2026, and we're inviting our entire community and our surrounding area towns to join us for a day of exploration, innovation, and discovery!

Whether you're a parent, student, educator, retiree, business owner, engineer, healthcare professional, tradesperson, artist, hobbyist, or STEM enthusiast, there's a place for you at STEM-A-Palooza.

⚙️ High School Students: We'll Provide the Activity that you Lead!� Want to volunteer but don't have an activity? We'd love to have you join us! We'll provide the supplies, materials, and instructions and you bring the energy and enthusiasm …AND we can give you community service hours!

The Region 15 Board of Education has appointed Danielle McCauley as the district's new Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics.

A dedicated member of the Region 15 community for more than a decade, Mrs. McCauley brings extensive experience in curriculum leadership, instructional improvement, professional learning, and athletics. Her commitment to student wellness, educator support, and collaborative leadership will continue to strengthen opportunities for students across our schools.
