Middlebury Police Department would like to share our gratitude for the numerous local, state and federal agencies for their response to address the forest fire located in Ripton, VT, on Tuesday, April 28th. A well coordinated response, led by the Middlebury Fire Department, meant the fire was brought under control within a few hours. Officers from the Middlebury Police Department were fortunate to deploy the department's thermal drone and orient the tireless boots on the ground suppressing the fire.

The town trucks will be out tonight cleaning up the roads for everyone, please do not park on the streets to avoid ticketing and towing!
