Middlebury Public Library The Middlebury Library holds a large collection of books, periodicals, films, CDs, etc., and provides a wealth of programming to the public.

The Middlebury Public Library’s mission is to provide information, resources, and services that educate, enlighten, entertain, and inspire our community to learn at every age. Present holdings include more than 75,000 circulating materials, including but not limited to books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, and museum passes. We also offer an extensive digital collection in both ebook and audio forma

ts. Patrons are welcome to access the Middlebury Public Library’s free resources: computers, Wi-Fi, and programs for all ages, from birth to 100 years. Programs include book discussions, creation labs, story times, etc. Our building, which was renovated in 2013, offers a quiet reading area, fireplace, five personal study rooms, a surround sound theater system, as well as an art gallery featuring local artists’ talent. The Library’s hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 10am-5pm, Tuesday 10am-8pm, and Saturdays 10am-2pm (closed from Memorial Day to Labor Day). We hope to see you at the Library.

Summer Reading 2026 has officially ended! Congratulations to all our winners. Our grand prize winners received a bike, helmet, and lock. The grand prize made possible by a micro transportation grant from CT DOT. Thank you to our sponsors Dominic & Vinnie’s Pizzeria, Kitchen 64, and Señor Pancho’s. We’d also like to thank our Selectman J. Paul Vance, and our Trustees Peter C. Vaccarelli and Meg Vance for being our honored ticket selectors.
