Tonight we took advantage of the nice weather and hit the Erie Canal for drafting/pump operations with Engines 1 and 2. Firefighters practiced moving large volumes of water with an unlimited water source and different nozzle types at different pressures.

Our Exempt Firefighter Benevolent Association undertook a project this month where the members have been tracking down the locations of deceased members at various cemeteries and placing flags with a Maltese Cross at their grave markers.

Today we had unique and rewarding opportunity to give back to the community in a different way. We helped work with a group of puppies to safely desensitize them to emergency lights, sirens, and loud noises.
By introducing them in a controlled and positive environment, these pups were able to get comfortable with sights and sounds that can often be overwhelming. 🐾🚒
We’re proud to serve our community in every way we can—sometimes that even means helping our four-legged friends feel a little safer.

Serving the community doesn’t happen by accident - it happens through commitment.

Over the past two Thursday nights from 6PM–10PM, our members completed their annual 8-hour OSHA refresher training.

Long days. Late nights. Even missing Sabres Game #3. But this is what it takes to stay ready.

Check out the photos and you’ll see something special. Not just a room full of firefighters, but moms with newborns in tow, still putting in the time… and one infamous grandpa too.

There’s no such thing as the “perfect schedule” to volunteer. Life is busy for all of us. But if you’re willing to show up, you can be part of something special.

Today we opened our doors for RecruitNY at Middleport Fire Department. While we didn’t have any visitors this time, we still want to thank our firefighters for showing up and continuing to serve our community with pride.

We know life gets busy and things don't always line up. That's ok.
