Middlesboro Police Take Another Drug Trafficker Off the Street

On May 28, 2026, Lt./Det. Barry Cowan with the Middlesboro Police Department arrested Kendra Sexton of Middlesboro and charged her with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree.

Cowan reports that after receiving numerous complaints about Sexton allegedly selling methamphetamine in the Pinnacle Homes area, he opened a drug investigation into the allegations. Shortly after the investigation began, Cowan was able to conduct a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Sexton.

Cowan later obtained a search warrant for Sexton’s residence. During the ex*****on of the warrant, officers discovered several packages of suspected methamphetamine, digital scales, and distribution bags, all of which suggested the narcotics were being prepared for sale and distribution.

Cowan encourages the public to continue reporting suspected drug traffickers and stated that information provided to law enforcement can remain anonymous.
