Earlier this weekend, Mayor Dalina’s Youth Advisory Council hosted a History Fair at the Dey Farm Historic Site during the June Open House as part of Monroe Township’s America 250 Celebration.

Throughout this year’s term, members of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council conducted research projects focused on Monroe Township, exploring demographic changes, historic landmarks, and environmental initiatives. Their work highlighted the unique transformation Monroe Township has undergone since the founding of our nation.

Students shared little-known facts about the township and engaged with residents of all ages, demonstrating Monroe’s important role in the American Revolution and its continued significance throughout history.

Mayor Dalina and Council President Siegel stopped by to view the exhibits, speak with students about their findings, and commend them for their outstanding work. The event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Monroe’s rich history while showcasing the dedication and talent of the township’s young leaders.

The students were also recognized at the June Township Council meeting, where they were presented with certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the Youth Advisory Council term.
