The Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department is selling a brush truck that is still in active service.

Truck Details: 1997 Ford F-250 with a Ford 351 5.8L V8 Gasoline Engine and 90,715 miles (will increase as the truck is still in service)

Firefighting Equipment: 250 Gallon UPF Defender Series Poly Tank with a 10 Gallon Foam Tank, and a 245 GPM Hale HPX-200-B18 Wildfire Pump

Hose Reels: Tokheim Forestry Hose Reel and a Hannay Reels Pre-Connected Booster Reel with 200’ of hose included on both reels

Additional Equipment: Tough Country Products Front Bumper with a built in Smittybilt XRC-12 Winch, and 4 Fire Rakes

Tires: BF Goodrich All-Terrain Tires with approximately 90% tread

Our units are currently on scene along with several other departments assisting Ferrells Volunteer Fire & Rescue with a woods fire in the 7000 block of W NC 97. The N.C. Forest Service is on scene with a dozer putting in a fire line. W NC 97 is shut down between Strickland Road and Mullen Road, please use an alternate route if able.

Operation Santa Ride with the Middlesex Police Department was a success. Thank you to everyone who came out to see Santa! He had a great time in Middlesex. We apologize if we missed anyone, we will try to add some extra roads when he comes back next year. Santa had to leave to get home to the North Pole to get ready for the big day!

Santa is coming to Middlesex! We received a special call this morning, Santa wants us and the Middlesex Police Department to give him a tour around Middlesex tonight so that he can scope out the area! If you know of an area that he needs to ride by, make sure to send us a message or leave a comment!

🎅🚒 Tonight at 6 PM, keep an eye (and ear) out for our annual Santa Ride!
The Police and Fire Departments will be escorting Santa around town on a fire engine.

We have a couple very special visitors stopping by the fire department tomorrow morning from 9-11! Mr and Mrs Clause! Stop by for breakfast, photos and crafts! Help us and our friends at the Middlesex Police Department give our guests a warm welcome to Middlesex and get in your last minute Christmas present requests.

Santa had a great trip around town and has headed back to the North Pole now to get ready for tomorrow night! We hope everyone had a chance to see him! He said he plans to come back next year before Christmas as well. If he needs to make a detour by any other streets next year let us know and we will make sure he knows where to go. Have safe and enjoyable Merry Christmas!

The North Pole just called and said Santa would be stopping by Middlesex ~6:15 tonight. The Middlesex Fire Department and Middlesex Police Department will be escorting him around town. If you hear any sirens or see lights, come out to greet him! His route through town is posted here. He will be leaving the Fire Department ~6:15-6:30 headed towards the Children's Home, then head back to town and towards Eagle Ridge, next to Ceder lake, Beaver Dam, and finally back to Town!
