MCPASD welcomed more than 7,000 students on their first day of school!

From safely driving students to and from school on the bus, serving them nutritious meals, and empowering them to be ready to learn, we're grateful to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in our community.

Thank you to our families, teachers, staff, and principals for making the first day a success. We can't wait to see all we'll accomplish together this year!

Thank you to all the families that supported our food drives with WayForward Resources and the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District Education Foundation during our Back to School Nights last week!

Sept. 9 is Middleton High School's Back to School Night, and families are welcome to drop off non-perishable food donations to support WayForward Resources' Hunger Action Month. The donation bin will include a QR code for families that would like to make a monetary donation.

To support the food drive, MHS families can check out WayForward’s top 10 list – https://loom.ly/xix-VF8 – and bring non-perishable food items on Sept. 9. Thank you for supporting our neighbors in need!

We’re happy to introduce our Proud to Be MCPASD series!

We’ll share perspectives from our incredible students, staff, and families on what makes MCPASD schools so special. We’re excited to showcase all of the wonderful people who make our District strong and a place where everyone feels empowered to grow into the best version of themselves.

We're committed to keeping our community engaged and informed about MCPASD's operational referendum leading up to the Nov. 3, 2026, election.

Our referendum web page is a helpful resource with answers to frequently asked questions. If you have a question about the referendum that is not answered on the web page, we encourage you to fill out this Google Form: https://loom.ly/li_QzfA

If approved by voters, the referendum would allow the District to continue prioritizing:
➡️ Safe and secure schools
➡️ Low class sizes
➡️ Current curricular and co-curricular opportunities
➡️ Competitive salaries and benefits to recruit and retain high-quality staff
➡️ Ongoing sustainability efforts and facility maintenance

Learn more about the proposed referendum and submit a question on our website: https://loom.ly/kAMjIPU

Thanks to all the students, families, educators, principals, staff, and Board of Education members who walked with us in the Middleton Good Neighbor Festival parade! Special shoutout to Mr. Steve and Ms. Nancy Kurr, Middleton High School and Glacier Creek Middle School orchestra teachers, for carrying the banner in their 28th parade!

We loved seeing so many familiar faces along the parade route, and we can’t wait to see everyone at school on Sept. 1!

Members of Middleton High School's Class of 1976 recently paid a special visit to their alma mater!

MHS senior and Link Crew leader Harper Carlin and MCPASD Community Outreach Coordinator Amy Schernecker led a tour for the Class of 1976 and their loved ones for their 50-year reunion. They learned about changes to class offerings, athletics and activities, and the building itself over the past half-century.

We love welcoming our Cardinals back to where it all began and strengthening their Cardinal Pride!

Members of the Class of 2030 shared a recap of their first day at Middleton High School!

MHS welcomed students on Aug. 27 for their first day before the rest of the student body to allow them ample time to walk their schedules, meet their teachers, and get used to their new school. Students shared that while the school is big, they're ready to be back in the classroom with their friends.

Join us in wishing our freshmen and all students an amazing school year!
