The Class of 2026 took part in senior walks at MCPASD elementary and middle schools today!

The beloved MCPASD tradition allows seniors to wear their caps and gowns to visit their former schools. Seniors reconnect with teachers and staff and inspire future Cardinals!

The walks capped off a busy day for seniors that included a practice graduation ceremony followed by the senior picnic at Middleton High School. Read more and check out pictures from all of the schools' senior walks: https://loom.ly/nr3YYH0

The Middleton High School boys golf team is heading back to the WIAA State Tournament for the 26th time in program history! Led by five seniors, this talented group is looking to finish their high school careers with a state championship after bringing home a bronze medal at last year's tournament.

The Cardinals punched their ticket to state with an impressive performance at the Division 1 Reedsburg Sectional. Senior Luke Weiss claimed the individual title with an even-par 72, while senior Samuel Forslund finished second and senior Reis von Ruden tied for sixth to help lead the team back to state.

Second graders at Elm Lawn Elementary are wrapping up the year in campground classrooms!

Ms. White, Ms. Dregne and Ms. Gannaway set up tents in their classrooms, complete with a camp fire in the middle. Students write ghost stories, eat snacks and tell stories around the camp fire, and get cozy in their tents.

The beloved tradition was started by Ms. White nearly two decades ago. She said when seniors return each year for Senior Walk, they share their memories of the campground and try to squeeze into the tents!

Thank you to our amazing teachers for making the end of the school year extra special for Elm Lawn's Eagles!

Middleton High School's boys tennis team is headed to the WIAA Team State Tournament on June 12-13 in Madison as the No. 2 seed! 🌟

The Cardinals are also well represented at the WIAA Individual State Tournament this weekend, with senior Alexander Bo, freshman Tianmu Pei and the doubles team of seniors Caden Cheng and Zander Endres all qualifying for state competition.

After graduating nearly half of last year's roster, the Cardinals have relied on younger players stepping into larger roles while veteran leaders have helped build a strong team culture. The result is a talented, close-knit group that is peaking at the right time and chasing the first team state championship in program history.

"We've got a deep close team, and you know everybody's ready to do their part to hopefully have the team move forward," Head Coach Aaron Kondrasuk told WKOW 27.

Middleton High School’s Special Education Program recognized 10 students from the Class of 2026 during an inclusive fundamental graduation ceremony on June 3 in the Performing Arts Center!

Special Education Coordinator Becky Poehls said the tradition started last year to better meet the needs of students who have sensory challenges and find the larger commencement ceremony overwhelming.

Students received certificates of completion in front of their families, friends, teachers, and members of Best Buddies, a peer-led program that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, leadership development and inclusivity for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
