Happy Memorial Day! As we reflect as Americans and realize the liberties we have in this country, it is appropriate that we recognize our veterans present and past. I had the opportunity to attend the Monroe Memorial service and was humbled by the sacrifice that many have given so we can enjoy being Americans. Thank you.

Today I took time out of my day to attend the Butler County Farm Bureau legislative policy meeting. Farm Bureau members were invited to attend to listen to Farm Bureau leaders talk about Butler County agriculture policy for future legislation. Several elected officials representing our county,state and federal levels were in attendance. Commissioner Carpenter spoke of the Trenton data center and the Lemon Township data center. She cited she was in communication with the Butler County Finance Authority. Other topics discussed included the upcoming Farm bill, CAUV taxes and the legislation process.  Farm Bureau is our voice in our county, state and our nation.
