A couple of weeks ago, we hosted our first-ever back-to-school event for families that have a child with epilepsy. Including some awesome back-to-school giveaways, kids' activities, and roundtable talks where parents could connect, ask questions, and gain valuable resources before the start of the school year!

We're so grateful to everyone who came out to be a part of this event, and we look forward to seeing you all next year!

Connecticut Teens Invited to Speak Up in Washington, D.C.
Self-nominations are now open for the 2027 Teens Speak Up! & Public Policy Institute, one of the Epilepsy Foundation's signature advocacy programs. Each spring, teens living with epilepsy from across the country travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with their members of Congress, receive advocacy training, and connect with peers who understand what they're going through.

To be eligible, teens must be between 13 and 17 years old as of the event date, at least in middle school, and living with or impacted by epilepsy. In limited cases, siblings of a teen with epilepsy may also qualify, including siblings who have lost a brother or sister to the condition.
