Families with musicians!! We would LOVE if your children participated in this. Record a video and send it to your music teacher, post on here or on your page and tag us! Spread the word!

This Monday, Memorial Day, Rhode Island's Music Educators have arranged for 1,000+ students from all over the state to perform the Star-Spangled Banner at 12 noon, to be immediately followed by a playing of Taps in honor of our active military and veterans. All have been asked to go outside their homes in their own neighborhoods at that time and use their musical skills to bring appropriate solemnity and uplift to all Rhode Island citizens.

Any and all other Rhode Island musicians, young and old, are encouraged to join in singing and playing. RIMEA has provided music, guidance and instruction and hope this will be another clear demonstration of the importance of Arts Education for all students and to our society.
