Reminder About Online Banking Payments for Water/Sewer Bills:

When the Town changed water/sewer billing vendors nearly a year ago, residents were advised that online banking payments are not electronic. Your bank prints and mails a paper check, which typically takes 7–10 days to reach Town Hall before it can be processed and posted to your account.

• After the first 30-day billing period: A $10 late fee will be assessed.
• After the additional 20-day late notice period: A $20 disconnection fee will be assessed.

If you choose to use your bank's online bill pay service, please send your payment as soon as you receive your bill to allow enough time for delivery and processing.

Please note that if you are mailing a check from your home it still takes 7-10 days to reach Town Hall. It does no stay local mail. It is sent to Baltimore for sorting before coming back to Middletown.

For the fastest and most reliable payment, we strongly encourage residents to use the Town's online payment portal, especially if your payment is close to the due date.

UPDATE: Walnut Street is back open for traffic.

Waterline Break – Walnut Street

Public Works crews are on site to fix a waterline break on Walnut Street. Walnut Street is closed from Gladhill Furniture Store to Bidle Road. We will do everything we can to make the repair as quickly as possible. The street will be reopened once the repair has been made.

This is a reminder that Family Movie Night is Friday, July 24th, 2026

Location: Remsberg Park - 7408 Holter Road

Middletown Movie: Goat

Activities begin at 7:30pm with the movie starting at 8:30pm. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for the whole family to watch! There will be crafts, a petting zoo, and food trucks. This activity is free and open to the public.

This event is sponsored by the Town of Middletown and the Middletown Library.

This vehicle drove into our storm water management pond off Holter Road and did some damage. The Town has contacted the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. We would appreciate the vehicle owner contacting town hall. (301)371-6171, or email [email protected]. Thank you.
