The following are our terms of use regarding social media interaction. We will hide comments when:
1. Users participate in name-calling
2. Comments fail to show proper consideration for others’ privacy, or are considered likely to offend or provoke others (i.e. arguments or inflammatory debates)
3. Users repeatedly post the same comment or comments that are deemed to be advertising or promoting a service or product not endorsed by the district. We will delete comments when:
1. Comments specifically identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or generally negative terms
2. Comments violate copyright and fair use laws
3. Comments are abusive or include inappropriate language or statements. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic, and/or sexist
4. Users post an Emoji that is deemed inappropriate
5. Comments include profanity, or simulated profanity. Inserting symbols, such as *** is not permitted and will be removed
6. Your comment incites violence
7. Your comment encourages breaking the law or encouraging others to do so
We will ban users if comments:
1. Are repeated, frequent violations of the above
2. Endanger others. Adopted in 2021

October 22: MHS & MMS Fall Choir Concert
November 5: MMS Orchestra Concert
November 10: MMS Band Concert

Join us in the MHS Auditorium for several evenings of wonderful music and performances.
Admission is FREE! We hope to see you there! All concerts begin promptly at 7:00 PM.

We’ll continue sharing information about upcoming events throughout the school year. We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating our talented student musicians and performers!

Middletown High School Class Spiritwear Shops Are Open!

Ordering links have been shared through MAP and Schoology, but we want to make sure no one misses out! Whether you're an MHS student or a family member or friend looking to show your support, now is the time to order!

Each class's spiritwear designs were selected and/or created by MHS class officers. We can't wait to see students showing off their new apparel and representing their classes with Middie pride!

Don't wait! Online shops close Friday, October 23!

How to Order:
Visit your class's online shop, select your favorite apparel items, and choose the delivery option that works best for you:

Store Pickup: Pick up your order at the Spiritwear Store in Monroe.
Home Delivery: Have your order shipped directly to your home (shipping fee applies).
School Pickup: Select "Pick Up at School" during checkout.

Please note: If you select school pickup, MHS class advisers will share additional details about the pickup date, time, and location.

🤖 Exploring the Future of Robotics! 🚀

Middletown High School Robotics students recently attended Ohio Tech Day at Yaskawa Motoman, where they got a firsthand look at the exciting world of robotics, engineering, and advanced technology!

Students had the opportunity to operate robots, explore virtual reality simulations, compete in an engineering challenge, and even take the controls of an F-16 flight simulator!

Beyond the hands-on experiences, students connected with representatives from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Sinclair Community College, Yaskawa Motoman, and the Digital Transformation Center to learn about career pathways and the skills needed to succeed in the growing field of robotics.

What an incredible opportunity for our Middies to explore future careers, make connections, and see how their classroom learning connects to real-world technology!

🎉🔢 It's a Place Value Party at Rosa Parks Elementary!
Who says preparing for a math test can't be fun?!

Fifth-grade students at Rosa Parks Elementary turned their place value review into a party filled with hands-on learning, interactive activities, and LOTS of excitement!
Planned by fifth-grade math teacher Stephanie Brown and teacher leader Dawn Burke, the Place Value Party gave students a fun way to practice their math skills through a variety of activities focused on tenths, hundredths, and thousandths. Some activities were even life-sized, including a giant place value board with pieces students could move!

A special thank you to the volunteers from the Middletown Senior Center, including Dawn Burke's mom, who joined in the fun and helped make this learning experience possible!

The best part? Seeing the excitement on students' faces as they learned, practiced, and worked together. That's hands-on learning at its best!

🥁📣 Kickin' It with Ken! 📣🥁

A huge thank you to Ken Baker from FOX19 for stopping by Middletown High School this morning to kick off Friday with some Middie Pride!

Ken caught up with Superintendent Card, coaches, directors, and students from our football team, cheerleading squad, Middie Majorettes, marching band, and color guard. There was plenty of excitement to share about tonight's GMC matchup against Lakota East, along with updates on the hard work and accomplishments of our teams throughout their competition seasons.

Senior marching band drummer Parker Shablak had the opportunity to share the band's recent success at The Ohio State University competition, including their exciting qualification for the OMEA State Marching Band Finals!

It was a great morning to bring our Middies together, celebrate their accomplishments, and showcase the dedication and talent of our student-athletes and performers. Thank you to FOX19 and Ken Baker for helping us share that Middie Pride with the community!

Good luck to all of our Middies as they continue their seasons! 💜

🏈 Friday Night Lights at Barnitz Stadium!

Last Friday, the Middies took on Lakota West for a night filled with football, performances, recognition, and Middie Pride!

The MHS Marching Band and Color Guard revealed additional props for their halftime show, "The Girl in Red," adding even more excitement to their performance! Hope Squad members took the field at halftime to be recognized for the positive impact they are making at Middletown Middle School and Middletown High School.

Our youth football players and cheerleaders had their moment in the spotlight, running through a tunnel created by Hope Squad members as their programs were announced! Cheerleaders enjoyed taking turns cheering on the sidelines with the high school squads.

Halftime was packed with special moments, and we're excited to share some of our favorite photos from the evening!

Tonight, the Middies hit the road to take on Lakota East! Good luck, Middies! 💜

Fire Safety Week has been a great learning experience for our third-grade Middies!

Fire Marshal Kaiser visited all seven of our elementary schools this week, sharing important fire safety information and helping students understand how to make safe choices at home.

Students learned how to recognize safe and unsafe situations, including electrical hazards like connecting multiple extension cords or power strips to the same outlet. They also discussed the importance of having a family fire safety plan and knowing multiple ways to exit their homes in case of an emergency.

A big thank you to Fire Marshal Kaiser and the Middletown Fire Department for taking the time to visit our schools, connect with students, and share valuable lessons that can help keep our Middie families safe!

🚒🔥 Fire Safety Week! 🚒🔥

Creekview students had some special guests welcoming them to school Tuesday morning! Members of Middletown Fire Department's Station 85, home to Medic 85 and Engine 85, joined Fire Marshal Kaiser to kick off the school day with smiles, high fives, and fist bumps!

Students loved getting an up-close look at the fire truck and starting their morning with some extra excitement!

A big THANK YOU to the Middletown Fire Department and City of Middletown for their continued partnership and support of our schools. We love seeing our community partners show up to encourage and cheer on our Middies! 💜
