Restoring history one stone at a time, this Hudson River Seawall Reconstruction project at Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow involved over 5,200 cubic feet of reconstruction and 1,950 square feet of repointing existing wall.

Not only were the crew masters at our craft, we successfully completed the work with remote staging areas and the challenges of working against high tide.

In the 1940’s, this area was a public beach, but had suffered greatly from the effects of past storms. It is now the host of kayaking classes.

Our favorite thing is knowing the impact our work has for a community. Hearing from the residents who visit the park everyday how happy they are to see the improvements makes the entire crew feel great.

Quite literally getting our feet wet on our latest project, rebuilding the Hudson River sea wall at Kingsland Point park.
Nothing about this project is straightforward, from lack of staging area, to access of materials, and of course only being able to work at low tide.
Oh, and the views are great, until the River is angry.

Beautiful fall color behind our fencing at Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow

Just a bucolic pasture and our newly installed worm fencing at Philipsburg Manor. This black locust fence replaces original fencing and is hand stacked, with no hardware.

Black locust is a very sustainable hardwood lumber, as it is very weather resistant without being pressure treated by harsh chemicals. It is also fast growing, meaning this hardwood is easily replaced after harvest.

This pasture formerly housed sheep and oxen.

Mountain life.... sometimes including various terraces of retaining walls to expand an outdoor living area.

CHECK OUT this failing timber retaining wall that we replaced with an engineered segmental block system, that now has GORGEOUS CURVES that aesthetically compliment the stone walls we rebuilt up top!

The drainage system will divert any storm water at this base to the property line, and prevent failure of the wall.

Most importantly, our clients are thrilled!!
