My opinion on "In South Korea, Fear, You Tube and Conspiracy Theories Kindle a Crisis" in International Jan 5, Sunday, 2025
Your coverage on the current complex political situation in South Korea thankfully helped to deepen our confused understanding on the crisis. The sad political turmoil in the country that has risen as a phoenix in the desert with the support of the United States 76 years ago casts bewildering doubt whether South Korea laid solid foundation for the value of freedom and democracy of western style to preserve the spirit of those value that US laboriously trained and guided. The general election in 2020 to select 300 members of National assembly, fair or rigged, unfortunately produced the unbalanced distribution of congressional seats-190-110 between the opposition party and the ruling party( People's Power Party led by Yoon). The majority of Assembly members 190 seats are despicable pro-North left wing politicians, and it, if united, shields the power of enacting any bills in the National Assembly, regardless of its actual benefit to people. With this advantage, elected president Yoon was easily impeached on charge of insurrection that invaded National Assembly with troops, and thereafter prime Minister Han Duck Soo, malfunctioning one of three essential branch of government-administration, unprecedented in the 76 year history of Republic of Korea. Now the final verdict on the fate of president Yoon depends upon the trial of the Constitution Court which will stop the function of president and put him in jail. Right or wrong, the outcome of the trial in the Constitution Court will navigate the direction toward which Korea will be heading-conservative right wing or left wing, by which the strength of alliance with the United States will be manifested, and will determine the feasibility of deterring any attempts by progressive political leaders from spreading the different role of algorithms. The role of communist China in this connection should be pointed out as acting as a manipulator of democratic politics to dominate south Korea. The strong reason why Korean people respect and admire the role of the United States resides in the deep minds for the great cause of freedom and democracy, without which Korea can not become an ally with America, since the liberation from Japanese colony. Most of all at this critical juncture, President Yoon's patriotism and staunch anti-communism should be honored by the United States, the champion of freedom and democracy at the constitutional court, along with his devotion to uphold law and order and unswerving efforts to root out social evil, and communist totalitarianism on behalf of Korean people that deeply permeated in every corner of Korean society from judiciary to the news media in South Korea.
Korean Americans living abroad are anxiously counting on president-elect Donald Trump to protect patriotic, pro-American warriors President Yoon for the bright future of alliance relationship.

Trade War between US and China over Green Technology
The nature of war between the tow super powers has characteristically been changed from the cold war hegemony to economic power war bvetween the Dragon and the EAgle culture., as professor Sunny Auyang of MIT stated in her book "The Dragon and the Eagle. TAShe real battle is now between state capitalism of People's communist China ( PCC) and western democratic capitalism : the former focuses on government control over the economy, the latter on less control over the whole economy relying on free competition and market economy for efficiency. As more and more collective actions are required in protecting individual freedom and law and order, capitalism is getting less powerful in maintaining law and order and in execuitng collective program for the people. As An economic growth rate is dtermined by population growth, productivity and eficiency, China has an advantage with $1.4 billion population over $350 million of US, in labor intensive manufacturing and social overhead construction, and expansion of market force. In terms of GDP, US is $24 trillion, while China $17 trillion, of which gap is narrowing year after year. China dominates global manufacturing industry, green technology and electric vehicle (EV) in the world, producing EV at the astongishing low cost of $10,000 vs $60,000 in US, which might be smashing EV market in US, unless some drastic actions are taken to prevent dumping the price by China. To prevent the possible trade war with China,US is now raising the existing tariffs more than 200 % on Chinese EV that will be imported into US market. In addition, US intends to impose high tariffs on steel and alumninum,lithium batteries, solar cells and semi conductors for the sake of trade protection. As US domestic manufacturing declines for white working class with the geopolitical challenge posted by China, US economic security is threatened as BYD, a Chinese auato maker, just rolled out a model priced under $10,000, showing an astonishing growth of Chinese EV sector with the jump of exports totalling $34 billion in 2024 from $400 million in 2023, precipitous 85 fold increase and enough to help China make the country the unchaleenging power in global auto export market.
