Heat advisories and extreme heat watches have been expanded to include more of the region. Dangerously hot and humid conditions are forecast to develop on Wednesday, with highs in the upper 90s to near 100° in most areas.

A stretch of dangerous heat is forecast this upcoming week. An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect Wednesday through Saturday for much of the area. Peak heat index values of 105-110 degrees each day. Be prepared!

Use caution outside today. It's going to be a hot one. Drink plenty of water. Stay in the shade if you can. Check on a neighbor.

⚠️🔥 One day left of the oppressively hot and humid conditions to close out the week. A few severe thunderstorms will be possible again this afternoon and evening, but not everyone will get a storm. It will turn much less humid for Saturday, but high temperatures will remain in the upper 80s to near 90°.

If you must spend any extended time outdoors today, make sure to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks. Stay cool out there, and remain alert for changing conditions this afternoon and evening!
