Constructed in 1797 by Major Isaac Hite Belle Grove Plantation's Manor House is a stunning example of Jeffersonian architecture. The Plantation is operated as a historic house museum by Belle Grove, Inc., a non-profit organization. Belle Grove is owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and is one of their 27 historic sites. Belle Grove is also a partner in the Cedar Creek Belle Grove

National Historic Park. Visitors will learn about the Hite family, 18th-19th century architecture, agriculture, slavery and the Civil War in the Shenandoah Valley. Our staff and volunteers are honored to care for this special place and look forward to sharing it with you.

The main stage is officially set and standing beautifully next to the historic Manor House for Shenandoah Sips: A Celebration of Virginia Wines, Ciders, Spirits & More!

Right now, the lawn is quiet, but this gorgeous view will soon be alive with incredible energy, stunning mountain views, and the best sounds of the Shenandoah Valley. We are counting down the hours until Saturday, August 29th, when we open the gates at 11 a.m.

The Dan James Band will get the music started at 11:30 a.m., and the Low Water Bridge Band will take over starting at 3:30 p.m. to wrap up an unforgettable afternoon. Bring your favorite lawn chairs and pop-up tents, grab a cold glass of local Virginia wine, cider, or spirits, and get ready to fill this lawn with great friends and memories.
