Carnegie Library Middletown logo debut!
The monogram letters C L M are the initials for Carnegie Library Middletown and the C is actually the C from Andrew Carnegie’s signature. The design idea for the monogram is the CLM can sometimes ‘stand along’ for the logo of the building and can be displayed on some hats, shirts and pint glasses while the whole design shown can also be printed and embroidered on merchandise.
Since a brewery will be one of the three businesses in the building (brewery, restaurant and office space), the ends of the CLM trail off and turn into hop vines. Hops also replace the ‘dots’ for letter I’s in the Carnegie Library Middletown name in the logo.
Thank you again, neighbors, family and friends, for all of your support and encouragement.

Be on the lookout for logo hats, shirts and a few other custom items in limited test runs 👍🏼.

Merriest Christmas!
For the holidays when we are needing friends and a special place to feel accepted and also a place where we DO NOT feel alone, here’s to the much anticipated opening of the Carnegie Tap Room where we can go at Christmas and feel welcomed and share a couple drinks and a few laughs with friends and family!
Thank you everyone for the amazing support on our journey of restoration!

Giving Tuesday? Did someone say Giving Tuesday?

Well, maybe when the offer of exclusive first run T-Shirts or Hats, in limited supplies, are announced, I can get everyone to spread the word (share on FB) and snag one or two while they last!

Hey, how about Carnegie Library Holiday or New Years shirts or hats? Hmmm...

Here’s an actual photo postcard from the 1913 Flood, the year the Carnegie opened. That’s the Carnegie Library on the left...watch for this postcard to be reproduced and made available.
Thanks again neighbors, family and friends!

Contract signed and fee paid with engineering firm!!!
Engineers were on site a couple weeks ago assessing types of mechanical equipment and the locations where the plumbing for new restrooms, furnaces, electrical panels and two new elevators will go!!!!

Of course we’re saving and restoring the original old wood windows...they’re 107 years old.

Thank you neighbors, family and friends as we continue to work behind the scenes on restoring the Carnegie Library during COVID.

Saturday (yesterday) we used the lift / boom to extend up and over the front to remove most of the ivy and cut down the saplings growing out of what was left of the architectural frieze detail (AKA Decorative face boards). We removed the ivy as far as the lift / boom arm would reach. We also removed the decorative face boards that were hanging (pealing) off near the roof. A friend has offered that I may borrow his 35’ ladder so we can remove the rest of the ivy on the front.
Thank you neighbors, friends and family for your support and interest.
