Last week 3rd Infantry Division Artillery Combat Medics (68W) instructed and tested Soldiers with the Combat Lifesaver Course. While Combat Medics are the experts in administering emergency medical care in the field in both combat and humanitarian situations, CLS training gives Soldiers the assuring potency to create life-saving multipliers.
Skills taught in tourniquet applications, wound packing, splinting, managing head injuries, hypothermia prevention, and calling for medical evacuation, create a broader base of life-saving skills to further enhance force multiplier to bring Soldiers home.
