We’re proud to celebrate the promotion of Jordan Barron to the rank of Engineer after 2 years of dedicated service with the Midland Fire Department! 🚒🎉

His hard work and dedication have earned him this next step in his career, and we’re excited to see all he accomplishes in his new role.
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys spending time with his wife, Laken, and their kids, Dawson, Kipton, and Logan. You can often find him hunting and fishing whenever he gets the chance.

Midland Fire responded to a structure fire in the 1800 block of West Tennessee Avenue on Wednesday (May 27, 2026).
No injuries were reported, but two adults and two children were displaced. The Red Cross was notified.

We’re proud to announce that David Vargas has officially earned his paramedic license from the State of Texas after passing the National Registry test! 🚑🎉
David has also completed the Field Training Evaluation Program (FTEP) at Midland Fire.

Outside of duty, David enjoys hiking, playing games, watching movies, cooking, and spending time with family!
