The Midland Commons is officially open for the 2026 season! I hope you'll venture downtown this summer to enjoy the many amenities it has to offer. Tonight is the next City Council meeting and I want to encourage residents to come to stay informed or share opinions during our public comment period. The night is busy with an agenda that has 27 discussion points, so here are some highlights. We will review a tax levy for the 2026 tax roll, an annual application for Dial-A-Ride funding, and a few proposed budget amendments. Council will discuss stormwater improvement projects, the sidewalk improvement special assessment district, the 2026 downtown economic revitalization public improvement special assessment district, and the 2026-27 city budget and financials.
