We spent this beautiful fall morning with Members First Credit Union for their annual Impact Day! Volunteers joined us at Midland County Educational Service Agency Longview Early Childhood Center to put the finishing touches on Project Wildflower. This newly formed nature trail now features interactive STEAM signage, a classroom gathering space, and small hidden activities along the trail.

A special thank you to the crew from our local Home Depot for helping with sign installation, building benches, and donating supplies!

The trail is open for the community to enjoy on the weekends and outside of school hours. Come take a walk among the fall colors. 🍂🍁

100% of the money raised by our local United Way chapter stays in our community. Its campaign season for fundraising and when times are tough we need to step up the most. It’s people like Brendy Lange who volunteer to lead these efforts, and they should be celebrated and supported. Stay tuned for this one!

Help honor Dolly’s extraordinary legacy of inspiring children to dream big and develop a lifelong love of reading! For just $30, you can provide a local kid with free monthly books for a year through Imagination Library.

Tomorrow, September 25 is Give Like Dolly Day!

Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger. To celebrate that spirit, we invite the community to invest locally in Dolly's Imagination Library.

Your support helps make it possible for children in our community to receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5. The program currently serves 1,200 kids, with another 300 on the waitlist.

Thank you to the over 50 community volunteers who joined us today to kick off our 2026 Campaign with United We Read. Together, we visited 72 classrooms across Midland County to inspire bright futures, a love of reading, and a sense of community in our youngest neighbors! A heartfelt thank you to Members First Credit Union and Sleepy Dog Books Foundation for sponsoring this event!

This Fall, we invite the entire community to join us during the campaign as we come together to empower financial security for families, create a healthier community, and build opportunities for youth through 50 programs with 25 partner agencies. Whether you give generously, volunteer your time, or advocate for community resources.

Our 2026 United Way Campaign kicks off on Monday! This morning, we were joined at Midland Business Alliance Wake-up Midland by Dow Campaign Co-Chairs, Meghan Watt and Haseeb Moten, Board Member, Wally Mayton, and partner agency executive director, Joe Coffey to raise awareness and keep attendees’ coffee cups full.
