Missing Endangered

Daniel Krasinski, 26, was last seen during the evening hours of Saturday, July 25, 2026 in the 2400 block of Wilmington Drive. Daniel is cognitively impaired.

Daniel is approximately 5’7”, weighs approximately 175 lbs, has a dark brown, buzz cut hair style, and was last seen wearing a beige T-shirt with an emblem on the front the shirt, pants and beige slides.

Midland, Michigan — The Midland County Sheriff’s Office is launching the ALERT Program, which stands for Autism Law Enforcement Recognition and Trust. The voluntary program is designed to help first responders better recognize and respond to situations involving individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Through the ALERT Program, families may choose to share information that lets first responders know when a person with autism may be present in a home or vehicle. Participants may also request a free decal to place on a vehicle’s rear window or at their home. The decal is intended to alert responding personnel so they can approach the situation with added awareness and care.

Participation in the ALERT Program is voluntary. Families who choose to participate can follow these steps:
• Visit the Midland County Sheriff’s Office website (www.midlandcountymi.gov/sheriff-alert) and complete the ALERT Program form
• The information provided will be shared with the Midland County Central Dispatch Authority (911) so first responders are aware that a person with ASD may be at the residence
• Choose whether to request a free decal for a vehicle, home, or both

“Every interaction between law enforcement and a community member is important,” said Sheriff Scott Holzinger. “The ALERT Program helps ensure our staff are prepared to communicate effectively, de-escalate situations when necessary, and provide the highest level of service to individuals with autism and their families. Our goal is to provide the best service possible, in the safest way possible, and I believe this program will help us do that.”

The ALERT Program is intended to support safer, more informed interactions by focusing on autism awareness training for Sheriff’s Office personnel and communication and response strategies that reflect different needs.

Autism affects individuals in different ways. In emergency situations, some behaviors associated with autism may be misunderstood. The Sheriff’s Office aims to help first responders better understand each situation and create safer, more positive outcomes for everyone involved.

The Midland County Sheriff’s Office encourages families to learn more about the ALERT Program and participate as it develops. Together, these efforts can strengthen relationships, increase understanding, and enhance public safety throughout Midland County. Midland, MI – On 6/16/26 at 1:08am deputies from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a single vehicle crash in the area of Lake Sanford Road and Turtle Cove in Edenville
Township. Midland County Central Dispatch Authority received notification of the crash from an iPhone alert.

Upon arrival, deputies located a single vehicle overturned in a ditch. Contact was made with a single male occupant who was injured in the crash. At that time, it was discovered that the male occupant is a deputy with the Midland County Sheriff’s Office. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The investigation was immediately turned over to the Michigan State Police for further investigation and the driver has been placed on administrative suspension pending further investigation into this incident.

Deputies were assisted on scene by the Edenville Township Fire Department and MyMichigan EMS.

UPDATE: Thank you to all community members who helped to locate the horse and its owner today. Multiple attempts to catch and sedate the horse over the course of more than 6 hours were not successful. With the owner’s guidance and permission, the horse was eventually put down for the sake of its own safety and that of nearby drivers.

🐴 FOUND HORSE – OWNER NEEDED 🐴

Deputies are currently seeking assistance in locating the owner of a black and white horse that was found in the area of W. Saginaw Road and N. Magruder Road.

If you have information regarding the owner or believe this horse belongs to you, please contact the Midland County Sheriff’s Office by calling 989-839-6466.

Derek Jayden Hall, 17, was last seen during the evening hours of Saturday, May 30, 2026 in the area of the Midland County Fairgrounds. Derek is cognitively impaired.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, an unknown colored top, black backpack and light colored Hey Dude shoes. Derek stands 6’00” tall, weighs approximately 120 lbs and has dark blonde hair.
