As Midland locals ourselves, this is so important to our community!
We saw this shared by our friends at Abilene: It's Getting Better, and it was too good not share and update for Midland-Odessa.
For those looking to get involved and make your community better here are some simple ACTIONABLE ways:
1. Apply to join a city board or commission in your community (visit the City of Midland or City of Odessa websites for more information)
2. Pick up trash on your street and bag your trash (don’t throw individual coke cans, take out styrofoam, plastic bags individually in the dumpster for the wind to catch)
3. Shop at a local store and post about it.
4. Share a beautiful pic of Midland or Odessa to spread the word so we can bring in outside dollars into our local economy.
5. Buy a ticket to the Midland RockHounds or Desert Hawks Football game, attend any of the local college sports games to show support.
6. Volunteer and donate to your favorite charity.
7. Go eat at a different/new restaurant this week.
8. Mow your lawn.
9. Use your blinker.
10. Write down the next step in bringing your secret business/invention idea to reality.
