April is always a busy month, especially since it is National alcohol Awareness Month. We will be at Greenwood High School this Friday, April 4th from 8:00 AM to Noon. The Midland County Sheriff's Department, Crisis Intervention, Midland Police and DPS troopers, will be there with us. This is prior to their Prom Nite, and we want to make students aware of the dangers of consuming alcohol and additional drugs. If you hve the time, come out and see everyone in action.

Today is the day and the beginning of days when all the 'bears' will be out, and If you plan to go out in the 'woods' today, tonight and other days and nights, better not go alone. Take along someone who will remain sober and get you and others home safely. In other words, "Don't drink and drive!"

Our Memorial trailer is in need of a Pu to pull it. It takes a 3/4 to 1 ton to do the job. The one we had 'bit' the dust. Alan Bell of the Midland Adult Supervision and Probation Dept. moves it around for us in Midland, but we need an 'over-the-road' unit. We need to get it to Big Spring in June.

Kayla's Voice Memorial trailer will be featured at the "Ride in Silence" Bike ride Wednesday May 18th at 7:00 P.M. from the Ceed Building, down 191 to 158 and back. What a priveledge to be included.

About this time in 2004, Angela Dawn Lester was killed by an Intoxicated 17 year old driver. Another man riding with the DWI offender also died and a young woman riding in the PU was seriously injured. Our prayers and support remain with Angela's son, her sister and her Mom and Dad.

Please don't drink and drive!

"Kayla's Voice" Memorial Trailer. 18 year old Kayla Grissom of Andrews died needlessly at the hands of an Intoxicated driver as she was returning home from Odessa. Her mother Debra, was just behind her and witnessed the death of her daughter. We urge you to "Please Driver Sober" or secure a "Designated Driver".
