Construction on the new Midland Township Fire Department station continues to move forward with significant interior and mechanical progress. Metal stud walls are now in place, electrical systems are being run throughout the building, and crews are actively working on underground drainage. The installation of HVAC ductwork marks another major step toward interior completion. Additionally, the apparatus bay garage doors have been hung, giving the station a more finished exterior appearance.

We will continue providing updates as the project advances toward its late‑2026 completion.

Midland Township Fire Department – New Fire Station Construction Update

Construction on the new Midland Township Fire Department station continues to advance, with visible progress across masonry, steel framing, interior utility rough‑ins, and roof structure installation. Crews have been steadily moving through each phase, and the project remains on track with an estimated completion date of late 2026.

Recent work includes:

• Exterior block walls nearing full height across multiple sections
• Steel truss and roof structure installation well underway
• Interior framing and conduit placement progressing through the apparatus bay and support rooms
• Site preparation and material staging for upcoming mechanical and electrical phases

Midland Township Fire Department – New Fire Station Planning Update

The Midland Township Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Midland Township Board for supporting the planning and development of a new fire station. This project represents an important investment in the safety, readiness, and long‑term resilience of our community.

After a thorough review process, Pumford Construction has been selected as the builder for the new facility. Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2026, marking a major milestone in strengthening our emergency response capabilities for years to come.

This station will enhance operational efficiency, improve response times, and provide our firefighters with the modern resources they need to serve the residents of Midland Township with professionalism and pride.
