Celebrating a child finding their forever family!

After 1 year and 7 months of dedicated advocacy, CASA Volunteer Patricia Clark helped a child achieve permanency through adoption with their loving aunt and uncle. Through out the case, Patricia remained a consistent presence, ensuring the child's best interest stayed at the center of every decision.

That is the CASA Effect. Sometimes, life-changing outcomes begin with something as simple as showing up. A visit. A caring adult who stays committed through every twist and turn of the journey. Small moments can create a lasting impact on a child's future.

A Baby Boy is on the Way!

The CASA of West Texas family gathered together to celebrate one of our own Volunteer Supervisors, Nohely, as she prepares to welcome her baby boy! The room was filled with joy, laughter, sweet treats and lots of love from staff and volunteers who came together to share in this special milestone.

We are so grateful for the incredible community we have at CASA, and it was heartwarming to see both team members and dedicated volunteers celebrating the mom to be!

Welcome to the CASA family, Sylvia, Gwen & Brenna!

We are so excited to welcome Sylvia Funk, Gwen Smith, and Brenna McCain as the newest CASA volunteers for CASA of West Texas!

Today, they officially took the oath to advocate for children in foster care and we couldn’t be more grateful that they said YES to serving. We know they are going to bring compassion, dedication, and a whole lot of heart to this important work.

Today’s swear-in was extra special as we also celebrated Judge Ellen Griffith’s final CASA swear-in. After years of helping welcome new advocates and supporting the work of CASA, we are incredibly thankful for Judge Griffith and all she has done for the children and families in our community. Her support and commitment to our mission have meant so much to us!

They started their journey together, and now they'll spend forever together.

When these two children first entered foster care, they came from two different counties. They weren't related by birth, but they found each other in the same foster home and quickly became sisters in every way that mattered.

Recently, that bond became official.

This incredible foster family finalized the adoption of both girls, ensuring they will continue growing up side by side as sisters for the rest of their lives.

Their path to forever wasn't easy. Navigating two separate cases across two counties came with challenges, but thanks to the unwavering love and commitment of their foster family and the steadfast advocacy of CASA Volunteer Kristen Fechtel, who faithfully served one of the girls for more than a year and a half, these children now have the permanence, stability, and love every child deserves.

This adoption is a beautiful reminder of the CASA Effect. When caring adults come together to advocate for a child's best interests, lives are changed forever. Sometimes family isn't defined by where you begin, it's defined by the love, commitment, and people who came along the way who choose to walk the journey with you.

Congratulations to this incredible family on making forever official!

Some stories remind us why hope is always worth holding onto.

Last week, that hope became reality as we witnessed a moment of permanency. It was not an easy journey, but it was one marked by unwavering love, incredible perseverance, and a family that never gave up on one another

Someone at the courthouse said this family is the definition of resilience, and we couldn't agree more.

After everything they have overcome, a sister was able to officially adopt her younger brothers, keeping them together and giving them the permanence they deserve. It was a powerful reminder that even through life's hardest chapters, healing and hope are possible.

This is the CASA Effect. Walking alongside children through some of the hardest moments of their lives until they reach a safe, permanent, and loving home.

To this incredible family: congratulations on your forever. Your story is a testament to the power of resilience, unwavering love, and the difference that people willing to show up can make.

Today's swearing-in was the perfect way to kick off the week!

We are thrilled to welcome our newest CASA Advocates to the CASA of West Texas family. Every swearing-in is a reminder that the CASA Effect begins with one person willing to say "yes" to a child who needs someone in their corner.

Happy Fourth of July from all of us at CASA of West Texas!

In celebration of Independence Day, our offices will be closed on Thursday, July 3rd so our team can observe the holiday.
