Northeast Volunteer Fire Department

Today, we responded to assist Midland TX Fire Department with flooding throughout the city.

Our recent specialized FAST 1 training allowed our members to put their skills and knowledge to use, providing additional hands and a better understanding of how to safely navigate challenging floodwater conditions.

We are grateful for everything MFD does for our community and appreciate the opportunity to work alongside their crews. We are always proud to lend a helping hand when needed and continue serving our community together.

As a reminder, Turn Around, Don’t Drown! Never attempt to drive through flooded roadways. It only takes a small amount of moving water to create a dangerous situation. No destination is worth risking your life or the lives of first responders.

Northeast cadets participating in the West Texas Regional Fire Training, recently took part in their Firefighter II vehicle extrication skills training at Action Wrecker Service.

Our cadets trained alongside members of Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department and numerous other volunteer fire departments from across the Permian Basin, gaining valuable hands on experience in extrication techniques and rescue operations.

Training opportunities like these help prepare the next generation of firefighters while building teamwork and strengthening relationships between departments.

A big thank you to Action Wrecker for providing the training location and to everyone involved in making this opportunity possible!

TODAY WE CELEBRATE A FEW OF OUR OWN

Today is a proud day for Northeast Fire Department as we celebrate several firefighters who have taken the next step in their fire service careers!

Northeast Fire Captain Daniel Alcorn was officially sworn into the Midland Fire Department today after successfully completing the fire academy!

We would also like to congratulate Firefighter Jernigan, who serves as a probationary firefighter with Northeast Fire Department and is now beginning his career with Midland Fire Department!

Additionally, we want to recognize and congratulate Firefighter Vazquez, who proudly serves our neighboring department, Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department!

One of the greatest rewards in the volunteer fire service is watching our members grow, develop their skills, and turn their passion for serving others into a career. We take tremendous pride in knowing that Northeast Fire Department has played a part in their journey.

we couldn’t be more proud of your hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving the community we call home. Today, you took the same oath to serve and protect that Chief Wolf and Assistant Chief Farmer have taken before you. It’s an oath that carries tremendous responsibility, sacrifice, and honor.

To the entire graduating class, congratulations! You’ve worked hard to earn the badge you now wear. Remember that the fire service is more than a job. It’s a calling, a brotherhood, and a lifelong commitment to putting others before yourself.

The patches on our shoulders may be different, but the mission remains the same. We’re all here to serve and protect the communities we love.

From your Northeast Fire Department family, we are incredibly proud of each of you! Stay humble, never stop learning, and always remember where you came from.

Congratulations, brothers! Welcome to the greatest job in the world! 🚒🇺🇸
