This Women’s History Month, we honor the women who have shaped the history, legacy, and future of the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School community. From those who broke barriers before us to those continuing to lead with strength, professionalism, and purpose today, their contributions have left a lasting mark on our Army and our nation.

We recognize the courage, resilience, and service of women across every generation of OCS alumni — past and present — and we celebrate the impact they continue to make in uniform, in their communities, and beyond.

We have exciting news!!! The Army OCS Database is now on the web!

Please check out the database at www.armyocsdatabase.com and send us your comments using the "Contact Us" tab to let us know how we can improve the content or display. There is a lot of work still to be done, especially in getting the Summary forms formatted correctly and published. This is a "living document" and changes are made daily.

The Army Officer Candidate School (OCS) Database stands as a landmark resource for OCS graduates, their families, and historians. Built to honor more than eight decades of service and sacrifice, the database is dedicated to preserving the lineage and accomplishments of those who earned their commissions through the U.S. Army’s OCS programs.

For over 80 years, Army Officer Candidate Schools have transformed prior-service enlisted Soldiers and qualified civilians into commissioned leaders. From the battlefields of World War II to modern operations around the globe, OCS-commissioned officers have played pivotal roles in shaping American military history. The creation and expansion of the Army OCS Database represents a major milestone in capturing that heritage with accuracy, dignity, and permanence.

For the first time, graduates, families, researchers, and veterans can explore a growing historical archive documenting the men and women who received their commissions through every Army branch school dating back to 1941. This living, continually expanding database currently includes more than 282,500 graduates, with additional entries added as new records are discovered, digitized, and verified.

More than a directory, the Army OCS Database is a tribute—ensuring that the leadership, commitment, and stories of OCS-trained officers are never lost to time. It serves as a bridge between generations of Soldiers and a foundation for future historical research, education, and remembrance.

We’re back with another OCS Alumni Graduate Spotlight!

Meet CPT Auston Marineau, a graduate of OCS Class 006-15. After commissioning as an Infantry Officer, he went on to serve honorably until his discharge in 2021. His career included three deployments—first as an Infantry Platoon Leader in Afghanistan, then as an Executive Officer in Kuwait and Iraq, and finally as an Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Commander of CJTF-OIR across Iraq and Syria.

Today, Auston continues his service to others in a new capacity: he is now an attorney providing legal counsel to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Reflecting on his time at OCS, Auston shared how deeply he valued the experience:
“From the cadre who played such an instrumental role in shaping me into the officer I became, to the incredible group of officer candidates I went through the course with.” He added that the friendships he formed at OCS have stood the test of time—many of his closest friends in the Army are those he met during the course.

As we gather with loved ones today, we pause to reflect on the remarkable community built through the shared experience of Officer Candidate School. We are grateful for the leaders this program has shaped, and for the continued service, character, and commitment shown by our alumni across the force and across the world.

We also hold close in our thoughts the Soldiers, Officers, and families spending this holiday apart due to training, missions, or deployments. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed, and your OCS family stands with you.

Whether you are celebrating at home, abroad, or somewhere in between, thank you for your service, your leadership, and your continued support of the OCS Alumni Association.

💥Here is our next OCS Alumni Spotlight!

1LT Christopher Gruener graduated OCS in 2023 with class 12-23 and is currently serving as a Platoon Leader with 189th DSSB, 82nd Airborne Division and OIC while deployed in support of the Joint Task Force - Southern Border. 🇺🇸

His favorite memory during OCS was Land Navigation week. He said that it pushed him in ways he hadn’t been tested before — both physically and mentally... and adding, "Red Diamond in the summer is no joke!" ...Who agrees?! 😅🙋🏻‍♀️

LT Gruener offers these words of advice to new candidates-
"Prepare early and take every part of OCS seriously. Show up already in shape and able to far exceed the physical standards. The school is demanding, so showing up in shape allows you to focus on developing your leadership style rather than surviving each day. Treat every block of instruction with the same respect. Nothing is filler and you can learn something from everything. How well you perform in OCS will set the tone for the rest of your career."

We'd like to recognize Veteran's Day with a message from our President of the Association:

"Fellow Alumni,

On Veterans Day, we, the U.S. Army Officer Candidate Schools Alumni Association (TUSAOCSAA), offer our deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to every man and woman who had answered the call to lead. As President, I speak for every graduate when I state that the service and sacrifice of every American veteran is truly and profoundly valued.

We are bound by the demanding path of Officer Candidate School - a shared crucible that forged our understanding of duty, resilience, and command. Within our ranks, we celebrate leaders who have served across all periods of national need, through both war and the demanding work of sustained peace, and at every critical juncture in our Army’s history.

To our Active-Duty members: Thank you for carrying the standard today. Your daily commitment ensures the mission continues, and your leadership shapes the future of our Army.
