The Recording Library’s mission is to produce high quality recordings in order to enrich the lives of those with impairments. Dedicated to improving the lives of people who cannot access the printed word, the Recording Library of West Texas offers audio versions of different forms of media to the visually impaired. From audio version books and audio version magazines to audio versions newspapers and newsletters, we help our community stay connected and better their lives. We also have podcasts! Volunteers are always needed. There is a very informal audition which involves reading the local newspaper. We ask that you dedicate an average of 2 hours a week to come into the studio to record. Many of our volunteers find the experience addictive! You never know what you will be reading and there is always something to learn.
RLWT is a 501. c3 non-profit who relies on donations to operate. We are not government funded. Consider a donation today on our secure website: https://www.recordinglibrary.org/
