The Friends of the Midlothian Public Library monthly meeting will take place at the library this Thursday, June 4 from 6 - 7 PM. All are welcome.

This meeting will include the election of officers for 2026 - 2027.

The Friends will not meet in July and August. Regular meetings will resume in September.

Each year, Fiero Code hosts three global coding competitions for participants ages 8 and up, with entries divided into three age groups:
🔹 Ages 8–12
🔹 Ages 13–18
🔹 Ages 19+

Prizes will be awarded for each age group!

These contests are FREE to enter. All projects are due by July 31.

We have a selection of dinosaurs that need faces!

Select one of the dinosaurs at the Help Desk to draw in a reader—yourself, family or friends—during every library visit during the month of June. Then ask for a sticker at the Help Desk. The coloring page will be on display throughout the summer.

Calling all explorers! The 2026 Summer Library Challenge starts TODAY and runs through July 25!

Stop by and pick up your very own Discovery Log—your guide to a summer packed with prehistoric fun.

Track your journey as you dig into new books, hunt for exciting programs, and uncover hidden treasures throughout the library. Chat with our librarians (your official expedition guides!) to discover everything we have planned this summer.

The more you explore, the more you earn!

Kids and adults will collect drawing tickets for a chance to win dino-mite prize baskets of their choice. Teens can stomp their way into weekly prizes and will also be entered for the grand prize…a Nintendo Switch 2!

So, grab your Discovery Log, follow the trail, and get ready to unearth a summer full of stories, surprises, and roaring good fun!
