‼️🚨 Announcement🚨‼️

The Midlothian Fire Department with the assistance of Deputy Chief Jon Kucharski are proud to announce that we have been awarded a $24,373.67 equipment grant from the Illinois State Fire Marshal (OSFM) for the purchase of a Stryker LUCAS Chest Compression System.

The LUCAS device is a mechanical CPR system that delivers consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac arrest, meeting current resuscitation guidelines. It serves as a valuable force multiplier for our department by allowing personnel to focus on other critical interventions while providing uninterrupted, fatigue-free compressions — even during ambulance transports.

This grant will significantly enhance our ability to deliver effective care and improve provider safety during emergency responses.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Illinois State Fire Marshal for their continued support of fire departments across the state.

🎨 Monday’s Memories: A Brush with Local Talent 🎨

Before our museum walls told stories through artifacts, they were already speaking—through art.

Years ago, a local Fine Arts group gathered right here at the Historical Society, bringing with them canvases, creativity, and a shared love for capturing beauty. With every brushstroke, they preserved moments, places, and feelings that still resonate today.

The paintings you see displayed throughout the museum aren’t just decorations—they are pieces of Midlothian’s artistic legacy. Each one reflects the talent and passion of local artists who once filled these rooms with conversation, inspiration, and creativity.

Today, we’re proud to showcase a few of these works that continue to add color and character to our space. 🖼️

Do any of these paintings look familiar?
Were you—or someone you know—part of this Fine Arts group?

We’d love to hear your memories, stories, and connections. And next time you visit the museum, take a moment to look a little closer… you might just recognize a piece of our past on the wall.

✨ Celebrating the artists who helped paint our history.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Message from The Midlothian Fire Department

This Memorial Day weekend we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending our nation.

Their courage and selflessness built the freedoms we protect every single day.
As firefighters, we understand the weight of service and sacrifice, a calling that echoes the bravery of our fallen service members.

We also remember our own brothers and sisters in the fire service who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their legacy lives on in every call we answer and every life we protect in Midlothian.

To our veterans, active military, and their families — thank you. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Please take time this weekend to remember those who never made it home. Fly your flags high and hold your loved ones close.

Stay safe and God Bless America.
