📚🎈🎉Put on your party (and reading) hats for El Librotazo, the Big Book Party! At El Librotazo, every child can choose up to five books to keep for free, forever. There will also be a ton of fun activities and refreshments during the event. Join us from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14 at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds (10300 Courthouse Road).

Today we officially cheered, high-fived, and clapped out our amazing 5th graders as they walked through our halls as elementary students for the very last time!

To our moving-up class: You have brought so much joy and leadership to our school, and we know you are ready for this next big adventure. As you head into middle school, we know you will find success by continuing to carry our PRIDE expectations with you.

Remember to lean into perseverance when things get challenging, treat your new peers and teachers with respect, and show integrity in every choice you make. Stay true to your dependability in your schoolwork, and never forget the power of empathy for those around you.

Middle school is getting an incredible group of students, and we could not be prouder of the wonderful people you are becoming. Remember to shine bright… you will always have a home here at CHES!

🎉 Unity Day Volunteers Needed! 🎉

We’re looking for parent volunteers to help support classrooms during our upcoming Unity Day on Thursday, May 28th from 12:00–3:00 PM.

Volunteers will assist teachers with student supervision and help manage materials during activities. You won’t be expected to lead anything and will remain with your assigned class throughout the event. While we can’t guarantee placement in your child’s classroom, we will do our best to accommodate requests!

Your support plays a big role in making Unity Day a meaningful and positive experience for our students—we truly appreciate your willingness to help 💙
