Our BWE Bluebirds are back in the nest, and today we’re cheering on their older brothers and sisters as they head back to middle & high school! 🥳

We hope your school year is filled with great memories, new adventures, and lots of success!

🚗 And a reminder to all our teen drivers: Slow down, stay alert, and watch for kids walking and biking to school!

As everyone gets back into the morning and afternoon routine, please slow down, stay alert, and drive carefully.

🚶‍♀️ Watch for children walking
🚲 Keep an eye out for kids on bikes
🛑 STOP at all crosswalks!
📵 Put the phone down and stay focused
🚗 Slow down in school zones and our neighborhoods

And if you have a high school driver, please remind them to stay extra alert and watch for pedestrians, cyclists, and younger students.

Let’s all do our part to keep our kids safe! 💙

📚🐦 The BWE staff has been BUSY getting ready for our Bluebirds! 🐦📚

Our teachers and staff have been hard at work preparing classrooms, planning lessons, organizing ALL the things, and getting ready to welcome our kids back! And we figured… they needed to be fed. 😂🍎☕️

A HUGE thank you to Chick-fil-A Westchester Commons for helping us fuel our amazing staff with today lunch! 🐄 ❤️

🎸 A Foo Fighters shout-out to public school teachers! 💙

Did you know Dave Grohl’s mom, Virginia Grohl, was a public school teacher in Fairfax County for more than 30 years? Talk about a rock star mom! 🎤🍎

So today, we’re taking a page from the Foo Fighters and giving a HUGE shout-out to all the incredible public school teachers who show up every day, pour their hearts into our kids, and make a difference in ways they may never even realize.

🎶 Thank you, CCPS teachers. We see you. We appreciate you. We LOVE you!
