3rd ANNUAL
MIDLOTHIAN POLICE
PET SAFETY EVENT

June 6th, 2026: Pet Safety Event being held at the Midlothian Police Station from 11am to 1pm. MPD will be providing free pet food, supplies and literature on animal safety and animal retention, to Midlothian residents in need.

Now – June 5th, 2026: Pet Food donations are being accepted by the Midlothian Police Department, to assist with the event. Anyone donating will receive a voucher for a free Animal ID Tag, free microchip, and vaccinations courtesy of the South Suburban Humane Society. All donations will be redistributed to Midlothian residents in need of assistance for their pets, at the event on June 6th.

**************PRESS RELEASE***************

On May 18th, 2026 at approximately 11:18pm, Midlothian Officers were dispatched to the 14600 block of Waverly Avenue, for a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers learned the victim was shot while he was inside of Halftime Lounge, located at 14640 S. Waverly Avenue. The two suspects fled the area in a vehicle. Midlothian Detectives responded to the scene and are actively investigating this matter.
